a truly life-changing album to witness and enjoy. By azura, the many hours ive spent listening to this album entranced by the cover photo. there are so many moments of epic joyous beauty, just incredible structure and energy. the feelings this induces are indescribable.

Beautiful album. Honest question here. Been listening to metal for close to 50 years, and I still get confused by genres, subgenres, and whatever subdivisions... Is this sort of music actually considered black metal? If so, on what grounds? Particularly love the title, the mood, the nostalgic yet positive sense of wonder, the epic sense of nature, all things I can relate to as being primordial channels of connection with the elements (and therefore in opposition to organized religion), but might not necessarily encounter as the most common aspects of black metal.

the kick is just so triggered. its hard for me to dig stuff like this when the bass drum sounds like its fingernails on glass. but obviously the atmosphere is probably pretty cool.

I mean, we differentiate between black metal and death metal from other genres mostly cuz of the vocals and here there are no vocals. Whats stopping me of calling this just instrumental album instead of black metal?
Tremolo riffs and a lot of blast beats with a focus on atmosphere is a common characteristic for black metal as well. It's not just the vocals.
