Count me among the people who couldn't forget this scene 30 years later. This was the only scene I can really remember from Barney Miller. Great scene, great actor.
I guess I just didn't want to believe it. I still don't want to. Steve Landesberg was, is and always will be among my all time favorite actors/comedians. His ability to remain deadpan while delivering a lot of the funniest lines I can remember, just made them even funnier. RIP Steve. Thanks for the never ending laughs and smile you gave us with your talent. You will always be remembered.
I found out he'd passed away on Comedy Awards last weekend... I looked to see how, & I can't believe I just found this! This line has been running through my head for DECADES! I knew WHO, but not WHERE... He was a GREAT actor & comedian... Thank you for upliading...
I liked Landesbergs dead pan , almost straight faced countenance after a joke or a funny scene. Deitrich , Harris , Wojo and Nick played successfully off of each other.
I would like to think that Gregory Peck would have been flattered on how Well his voice was impersonated by Steve Landesberg. I would of enjoyed listening to him do it more often. I Greatly enjoyed this show back in the day n' getting to watch reruns is the Bomb!
This probably the only Barney Miller episode that was outside of the police station, except for the very first episode when Barney Miller was in his apartment.
There were several episodes that went "outside" the station, particularly the two-parter "Rent" when Barney got suspended for refusing to enforce an eviction order on a destitute family. He got back his command when the family took hostages and he negotiated a peaceful end to the crisis.
@VEGANSAM I had the same thing. I remember seeing this episode one time when it was first on TV and this scene stuck in my head. Steve Landesberg was one of a kind!
Steve Landesberg spent some of his least productive time making the Blazing Saddles television series with Lou Gossett Jr. It was shown only once, to Mel Brooks, to fulfill a contractual requirement that a TV series be made so the studio could keep the rights.

Mushy-mushy 😆
@@curtiswhiteheadjr1322 Wojo, pointing a bazooka at Barney: "About that raise, Barney..."
Where'd you get the atomic bomb?

Absolutely...me too
The "we've made other plans and they don't include you." is dead on perfect!
That's the best part of the bit imho.
He was absolutely my favorite character on Barney Miller...
His Gregory Peck impersonation certainly was im- Peck-able. Nobody else I've ever heard came close.
Hey, thanks for this! I always liked Dietrich. And he really does do a very good Gregory Peck.

...and THIS was the moment I fell on love with Lt. Dietrich as a character.
My favorite line from my favorite actor on my favorite show.
I love that; kid looks around, there's one other guy in the room and he asks, "Who did Gregory Peck?" B^D

One of the funniest scenes of all 8 seasons.

There was an episode that focussed on Wojo and his new girlfriend in his apartment with no other BM cast members in the episode.
There was the one about Dietrich and Harris on a stakeout and Dietrich drove Harris crazy lying in bed and chuckling at the Three Stooges.
"This isn't Howard, Mr. Peck." Lol!
A voice like this actor has is a national treasure. God bless you Sir. Please do not waste your talent on sitcoms.
well, he didn't, as he hid A LOT of voice acting, but sadly, he's been dead for many years now.
Adding SL to the cast of Barney Miller was a genius move. The entire cast was excellent.
Great show. Great comedian.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Steve Landesberg was Great!!!!Cute!!!😉
"Are you an actor..???"
" No.. I'm a cop!!!"
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Beware. I watched this video yesterday and must have said "Go away, Beverly is busy" at least a hundred times to myself.
Go away Beverly is busy! Ha ha.
Now I can't view a Gregory Peck movie without hearing "Beverly is busy!" 😂
I loved this scene!
This has been hilarious since I first watched it in it's original airing 😂
rip steve landesberg
"Yeah, I know. I can't help it." lol!!!
Classic scene👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😂😂
Absolutely ⭐️🔔🔨
Beverly was sooooo busy, she didn't even show up for the spinoff.

Was this a setup for a spinoff?
It does look like a soft pilot for an early Fish spinoff. The full episode is on Dailymotion. I like it better than the actual Fish spinoff.
What episode is this, please? :-)
This is from the Season 2 episode titled "Fish".
..funny..
Who is the actress playing Beverly
I think itd Frau Farbisida from Austin Powers Mindy Sterling
Kid looks like Jake Gyllenhaal.
Funny enough that is indeed a BANG-ON impression of actor Gregory Pecks voice... take a listen... th-cam.com/video/tNxrnOC_WTs/w-d-xo.html
