I work as a volunteer at a shelter for wild animals that have been kept as pets of forced to perform in a circus for instance. We've got several servals because quite often they eventually escape or hurt someone. Many servals don't get the right food as well, causing them to get weak or malformed bones and can easily break them. One of our servals did just break her leg a while ago from a jump that should have been no problem at all.
Most people seem like they terrorize the poor things. This girl seems like she is allowed to just be a big kitty, she probably has her needs met. I think a lot of people also underfeed their big cats and that is part of their aggression in a lot of videos.

For anyone wondering, this is not a rehabilitated animal that is unable to go back into the wild. she was just bought to be a pet. and while this owner is loving, they prioritized having a wild animal as a pet over having a wild animal be in the wild, where it's happiest.
I, too, am convinced that that animal would much rather have to constantly hunt for food at the risk of starving to death otherwise, while also being susceptible to the countless number of diseases that would either kill it, or debilitate it enough to where it wouldn't be able to hunt and therefore die a slow and painful death to starvation-all without any possibility of treatment. I mean, seriously. Who are you to say where that animal would be happiest? Did you go on and ask it? Is that why you're so confident in saying that?

You are correct, hissing ranges from merely greeting someone to the same reason a cat might sit by a food bowl and make loud meows to call your attention.
I think with a lot of medium sized cats hissing can be used for pretty much any emotion, similar to how house cats will meow for pretty much any emotion also.

@triplesixcrow You have a good point, servals shouldn't be pets unless you've treated them for injury or illness and they've become too friendly with humans to be reintroduced into the wild. It's not a good idea to buy exotic animals you aren't fully equipped to take care of or exotic wild mammals at all
