That's a very interesting question, Sampad! 2) It can't be the subject complement. He = to go Why? A person cannot be an action. 3) It can't be adjunct too as it's not modifying a verb. 1. It can be an object of an action verb that might be implied in this sentence. For example - He is planning/thinking to go abroad next year. Now, "to go abroad next year" is the object of the verb PLANNING/THINKING. Planning WHAT? To go abroad next year Hope this was helpful!

Hello ASHISH, Infinitive works like a gerund in nominative & accusative case then why we use infinitive. What are the reasons or expections for it. Please elaborate. Thank you !
But these are two different concepts. Can a noun work as a pronoun? No. Similarly, an infinitive can't work as a gerund. Both Infinitives and gerunds work as nouns.

In passive form, it becomes an adjective. Check these examples: • I motivate others. (Showing action) • I am motivated. (Showing my state of being) And the job of an adjective is to give information about a noun or a pronoun. And that's what MOTIVATED does here.
In English, we have a couple of verbs that follow this structure: verb + personal pronoun + infinitive. • They advised me to rest. • I asked you to read books. That's a very interesting question, Sampad!
2) It can't be the subject complement. He = to go
Why? A person cannot be an action.

1. It can be an object of an action verb that might be implied in this sentence.

No, they can come at all positions.
What was the modifier of the 1. I like to motivate people?, is it the people or I
