I only use the vinyl cutter for stencils when I need to spray a photo for to one of my artworks. but I have a 14 inch desktop vinyl cutter where I can put rolls on it. but I usually use A4 photo paper so that I can use the sencil several times. that works perfectly for me.
I used to use an Epson ET-2550 th-cam.com/users/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 , an early model of the ink tank style. It worked well, but had one nuisance that drove me up the wall; if you didn't put it in high quality print mode you'd get a streak across the page. I'm happy to say I have yet to see this with this printer. The print quality has been fantastic so far, the set up was super easy. All in all I'm very happy with this printer.
HI, does the cutter have an optical laser to recognize the paper or registration marks? Can I cut on pre-printed material, or do I have to print with registration marks with Signmaster? I'm looking for a cutter and learning about these parameters which are not immediately made obvious by manufacturers. Thanks.

Hey there.. I make handbags and purses out of fabrics and leathers. Can this machine be programmed to cut patterns out on fabrics and leathers? All of the sewing ladies seem to have a cricut or silhouette.. they don't seem big enough 🤷🏾♀️

Hi, i own the same cutterplotter also. I sadly recogniced, that the cutting width is not 285mm, but max. 270mm... If you manually move the cutting head to the left, you can drive a maximum of 270mm, then the cutting head hits the left. Can you confirm it? Greatings from germany... 🙋🏻♂️

I'm trying to create a labelled switch panel, with the labells etched into the aluminium. Do you think this machine could do it. Or would a Lazer cutter version of this machine, do a better job? Avoid lasers for use with Polyvinyl chloride products. When the extreme heat hits the material the gases released are incredibly corrosive and in enough concentration toxic/poison.
so once I put the blade in that blade holder and then I place it into the clamp on the plotter how far down do I push the blade? how far up from that white strip should the blade be? My plotter looks like yours so I've gone through many sheets of vinyl and I either get a cut that's not deep enough or too deep. Need some more direction here, please?
The blade should just be barely tucked inside the holder before mounting it in the vinyl cutter. You adjust the threaded collar at the top of the holder to set this. Then you will rest the shoulder of the blade holder on the clamp on the vinyl cutter and gently tighten the clamp. Then you can adjust pressure with your buttons on the machine.
question , im trying to make themplates to electro etch bigger size numbers on my socketset th-cam.com/video/zGtDz_rGgs8/w-d-xo.html thinking on using vynil to make the templates as that whont bleed the liquid under the edges (better than the lay on numbers in the video) theres one thing i cannot find and thats ; how small can you cut numbers and letters as they need to be small enough to fit on the ratchet sockets
That’s a stepper motor making the noise the more expensive machines have servo motors that are very quite ….my machine is a Graphtec ce6000 a cheap professional model it’s about $2000.00
It's going to depend on the mechanical depth you have set on the blade. I usually set the mechanical depth on my blade so it just tucks up inside the hole and doesn't stick out. Then I run the test sequence on the vinyl cutter and slowly tune the pressure until it cuts perfectly.
@@vavila506 Yes, some paper's will have different thicknesses. You'll have to tune the machine for different papers. That said, it's usually minor tuning required if you stick with one brand and one style of vinyl.
My machine can use 12" but I was just using a scrap piece that I cut off a larger 24" roll. I also have a a 24" machine, so I keep large rolls on hand. I find that just cutting some shorter pieces makes it easy to use on the tabletop machine though so I don't need rollers for the roll of vinyl to rotate on.

Thank you. No it does not have a camera or a laser. You can set a new origin, but it will be difficult to align with existing stickers.
