Normal pair of pliers would’ve worked and that tool in your hand is meant to rough up the inside of the puncture so the patch sticks but whatever is easier for you man

It seems like common sense. piece of metal nail stuck in with a lot of pressure creates a possible bullet like projectile that can be shot of if not done correctly, or at least dont stand in the line of fire of the nail lol. It was more of a question as to is that how it works or would it be next to impossible for that to happen with the nail shooting out in anyway from tire pressure
