      Steve-O legitimately tortured a neighbour for complaining about noise in a rather expensive condo. Steve-O proceeded to exude the worst crackhead behaviours, including attempting to break through a wall and threaten the man.
      I wonder if Steve-O has ever tried to atone for this situation, where he legitimately became the biggest problem in someone’s life who he didn’t even know.
      He has never apologized, never attempted to rectify the damage he caused, and in fact he uses the story in his crappy Schaubian “comedy” special as a “look how cool I am” story.
      Steve-O will always be that crackhead loser with no shame or decency, until he confronts the horrific shit he’s guilty of. Guy gets sober, and now he’s judging others? He has a LONG way to go before he deserves to have an ounce of judgement in his voice.

      @@BumpyHumpyDumpy it’s obvious you know nothing about steve-o and the person he is today, and are just blindly hating without doing a lick of research or critical thinking before writing that comment. he’s talked about trying to reconcile with his neighbor and make things right multiple times, but his neighbor refuses just because of how terrible and traumatizing it was for him to experience; and he himself said he doesn’t blame his neighbor for thinking that way and feels awful for it. steve-o has done a complete 180 and turned his life around, is an animal rights activist, an amazing spokesperson for drug addiction and rehabilitation, and a wonderful friend and overall great person. you can judge someone for shitty things they did in the past, but don’t turn a blind eye to how he’s changed, how he’s attempted to make past actions right, and to all the good he’s done recently.

He is still acting like 2000 will call him back. Sad to see. I wonder if this is a causation of having everything and not having the ability to just say NO. It seems like his family is the only one that came from money of the crew of Jackass. He never learned how to not let it consume him.

      @@PatRiot- A mix of both, if what he says is true about getting kicked out of hotels and the media treating him unfairly is as bad as he has said, then there's some truth to the idea that he's being fucked over. However, there's also, obviously, a lot of truth to his own behavior being his downfall. I think him getting fucked over is a result of his own behavior and choices, which only leads to a negative feedback loop.
      Im not an armchair psychiatrist, I've just seen enough people with addiction to see that it's not always so black and white.

      @@muscleman125 well said. It's never just black and white. Everyone likes to act like it is but more times than not things aren't so clear and it has to do with more than one person or party. That's not to say there is no causation for the way people treat Bam but some people definitely fuel an already burning fire with the things they do and say or the things they don't do at all. At the end of the day though you are your own responsibility. Distance yourself to get clean if you have to and don't get mad when people continue to live and do things without you 🤷🏼‍♂️ Life keeps going whether you are a participant or not.

    Two takeaways from this short clip:
    1) Bam can’t be helped until he decides to take responsibility for his actions and acknowledge the fact that his self image and perspective on his relationship with drugs/alcohol are heavily distorted. He needs to trust in his loved ones characterization of those things until he gets clean and clears his head up.
    &
    2) Steve-O has a real gift for tactful, constructive confrontation, and he cares about Bam deeply.
    It’s refreshing to see someone as sober and coherent as Steve-O gently hit Bam with a dose of reality because it’s clear he’s alienated everyone else in his life willing to do so.

    • @digit975
      @digit975 2 ปีที่แล้ว +45

Another thing to add is that it means even more coming from Steve O who’s been in that exact situation and knows the hell of addiction better than just about anyone in the crew. Him saying “it’s not cool anymore” means a lot more than someone who’s never been in that position saying it.

From all Steve-O’s interviews with OTHER og jackass members, it’s a very stark contrast: the only one who hasn’t grown is Bam. If you can’t take accountability, you can’t be self introspective, which means you can’t change or grow because you lack the tools to even be aware of what needs changing. The only other treatment options for ADHD is atomoxetine or drugs like it, which are a SNRI (Brain Chemical inhibitors) that cause Nausea, Dizziness, Headache, Mood swings, Insomnia, Erectile Disfunction and Drowsiness. On a ventilator/ drug induced coma, family flying out thinking for my funeral at age 31.. You got me beat, and it's awesome/ inspiring to hear people's stories like yours man. I can't imagine how hard it must have been, and how you should really be proud of yourself. If you're anything like me, even after I quit it took a long time to actually appreciate what I was doing. I was sober for 8 months, but messed up for about 7 days while on vacation. By the end of my binge I realized there's absolutely no path leading to the happiness I spent so long trying to accomplish while sober. Trying to feel good in my own skin, this new normal, was just getting the hang of.. and I messed it up, but I refuse to let it sink me back into that dark void of drinking my anxiety/ problems away.. which ironically brought me there in the first place. Big ups, sorry for everything you've been through, but keep up the good work bro. You sound like a good man who knows his shit. 👍

      You can believe more than one side is wrong at different points or not completely all at fault for multiple parts of the issues. Choosing one side in something that's complicated in many ways isn't the intelligent or right way to look at things. Nothing is absolute on the situation and that things on all sides could have been handled better.
      Bam going nuts publicly was what turned people on him after he spent years of his life in a complete downfall.
      I personally wouldn't watch jackass if it wasn't for cky and skateboarding knowing the cky films and everything before jackass was on MTV.
      Most of us watched for bam and his cky crew. We ended up enjoying the others as well but bam was the true reason most watched. We are all the same who hated seeing his downfall even when it started pre Ryan Dunn accident.
      But I can flat out say a lot of us still feel bam did wrong and handled it wrong and at the same time he has points where the other side is wrong and though I feel he's on the wrong pretty much well over 75% It doesn't change the fact he does have real grievances and everything. A lot of us just really wished he took to airing those grievances and issues in a way that wasn't self destructive and made him look completely insane even when he was in the right.
      It just sucks to see how much has happened to everyone involved that it became a complete shitshow that ruined friendships and mental health issues getting worse.

I listened to it on the train home and I think he had a great diplomatic way of precisely naming Bam's problems and not downplaying them, yet not being super aggressively confrontational about it. You can clearly see that this is a man who's been there and knows what these things are like. He knows that if he'd just sit there bluntly and aggressively calling out any and all of Bam's shit he would probably shut down and not actually listen. It's clear that he genuinely cares for Bam and wants him to get better, but he also knows very well what measures you need to take to be able to stay sober and that some of Bam's shit just ain't cutting it right now. Good on Steve-O for doing this. With how much of a mess Bam has been, the easy thing would be to steer clear of him, not get involved and invite him once he's sure Bam has his shit together, but by doing this he shows his friend that he cares for him and is not gonna distance himself from him because of his struggles.

      He hasn't even started his journey of recovery. He doesn't want to recover. He wants to stay loaded crying about Ryan and thinking the world is against him. He isn't making efforts to get better. He had to wear sunglasses during this video call. What does that tell you? If he shows he wants to make an effort then I will wish him luck but as long as he keeps being a spoiled brat who keeps denying his problem, let him spiral out of control. Nothing will change unless he wants it to change. Unfortunately I think this only ends one way. Eventually he will go too far, end it, OD etc. This probably ends more like Amy Winehouse than Steve-O.

      Oh please, he’s not recovering, did you even watch the video? He’s still making excuses, he’s slurring his words, and straight up lying to Steve-O. “I didn’t even wanna be in it anyways, I’m much happier not being in it.”
      That’s a very obvious lie.

      Hopefully not, pretty much all his friends and entire family have enabled his debaucherous lifestyle and substance abuse for years. You ask me this is the first time Ive seen anyone close to Bam publicly confront him on his addictions. Bam needs to cut ties with the people and the life he used to live and find a new support system. Steve-O and some of the jackass crew are partially responsible for the situation he is in today anyway although ultimately Bam’s own choices led him down this path. Its sad and pathetic.

    Despite the whacked out shit Bam did to Jeff Tremaine, I still think he has a valid point. Once he fell from grace as MTV's golden boy, they treated him like a drug addicted liability. When he was raking in the millions their lips were sealed. Stop trying to justify talking points that are used by these corporations and look at the facts. Kicking Bam out of a franchise he helped build was wrong. His cast-mates not standing by him and accepting the new-normal of a Bam-less Jackass was wrong. All for the money? Like seriously? Stop pretending this is about helping him. Its about money, and anyone who is trying to pedal some other perspective has ulterior motives i.e. money and public image.

      "Get you back in the movie..." Like Steve o, if you really truly believed what you say, you would have stepped down from the Jackass Forever project to stand in solidarity with Bam. You of all people. Who was in a "free-fall" life or death situation during the making of the series and the show, and even Wild Boyz. Now that you are sober, you look down on these people with the eyes that once judged you and as someone who was a big fan of the franchise, this new dystopian, PC, corporate Jackass is not something I want to support.

      @@TheWhiteSlaveDave here’s the problem with sober Steve O. He just isn’t all there. It’s quite obvious. It’s sad what happened to Bam I just researched this cause I am watching Mel Brooks History of The World part 2 and they do a skit where Rasputin is Johnny Knoxville and I was disappointed to not see Bam Margera. I know he has had his spotlight for being a drunk but I never knew the relationship between them all was this sparse. I think we all can say when Ryan passed something just flipped in Bams head and it is awful to see his legacy dragged through the dirt. These guys were such a figure in my life I can’t explain it. Mainly cause I skated and Bams house was a free for all and I knew a few kids from HS who actually went to the house like just showed up. So yeah. That being said Steve O I can’t watch this interview. You talk way too slow and I understand you are trying to be compassionate but man cmon. It’s 2023. This world is insane and we have a sober Steve O trying to make ammends? Bro know your place just saying.

      Yeah, a lot of deflection. Saying he's better off not being in Jackass 4 is his way of justifying his shitty behavior. The fact he got so mad when he got kicked out to begin with and gets hot talking about it here proves he still cares. Ya he did rehab for a year, but it wasn't for HIMSELF. I'm hoping this sticks but to me he doesn't 100% committed. I really hope he proves me wrong tho, nobody likes to see their childhood heroes fall.

      I'm still unsure why everyone else's "antics" are forgiven and laughed about. He's going through what many of them went through. Just because it's happening years later doesn't mean they're morally superior. That is the surface perceptions

    • @peppermintpsaki1157
      @peppermintpsaki1157 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Steve-O said it himself if you were listening: there simply came a point where it just wasn’t cute anymore and they decided to get real. There reached a divergence in the road between continuing the same direction or sobering up, and Bam chose to stay on the same old path and ended up getting left behind. They shouldn’t be expected to halt their growth and sobriety on account of Bam’s unwillingness. Just because they do wacky stunts doesn’t mean that they should also have to trash their bodies. But I do agree that it can’t simply be called Bam’s “antics” anymore; it would now come from more of a place of acting out.
