Dolanji is known to be the offshoot of the Menri Monastery which is termed the second oldest monastery in the world. Approximately 24-25 kilometres from Kumarhatti, this monastery is run by the Yungdrung Bon Monastic Centre. Constructed in the year 1969 and founded by Abbot Lungtok Tenpai Nyima, this place is ideal for witnessing Tibetan culture.
Talking about personal experience, we went to this monastery recently in August-2022. The aura of the surroundings is breathtaking and you are surely gonna love the peaceful atmosphere. You can simply visit here in your own car.
If you are coming from Chandigarh, the monastery is a mere 85 kilometres by distance. From Delhi, you will need to cover almost 300 kilometres.
