Note same medecine, same brand, Vitamin D3 की है वो। जिस दवाई पर ₹140 लिखकर दे रहे थे। वही दवाई ₹17.5 मिल रही है। मैं एक eye 👀 की दवाई लाया था। उस पर ₹180 लिखा था। पर दुकान वाले ने ₹18 में दे दी। और ये बहुत ही ज्यादा है। और वह दुकान जेनेरिक मेडिसिन की है। बाकी लोग MRP पर ही देते हैं।

In india the main problem is doctors write medicine and they don't know formulations of most of them, while in foreign Pharmacists precribe medicines, doctors only have to diagnose the disease. Hence government should first change this system and give pharmacist the respect he/she deserves.

In kerala, there has been a systematic and planned campaign against Jan Aushadi outlets by CPI(M) and Congress. Also rumours are spread about the JA outlets and products by private pharmacies. Doctors always prescribe medicine bramds and not generic names ....when we ask - they reluctantly write it out. Normal people are not allowed to take advantage of Jan Aushadi scheme in Kerala by our corrupt politicians as most medical stores are owned by high ranking CPI(M) and Congis...

Afterall basic kaam sabhi same kar sakte hai. Jo configuration ke liye apple 70000 rs charge karata hai uske liye xiaomi 15000 lava 10000 aur unbranded chinese company may charge 7000. So all in all what you trust is brand and value for money. Life saving drugs are like that only. When quality needs to be assured we tend to chose best. I myself am doctor. When me or my relatives are ill i strictly use branded drugs as i am assured by the quality. The difference between the drugs and mobile is that decision maker in your case for drugs is doctor and not you. Just like if you want to buy your wife a mobile she is less likely to decide for herself and may ask you to chose a mobile for her needs as she is not knowledgeable enough to chose. So in both above examples a decision maker wil decide the product based on the needs, usage habits, cost effectiveness, absolute need of features AND being answerable to user (imagine the scenario that you bought the cheap mobile for wife and it exploded while charging or stopped functioning on 3rd day. Wife will blame you. Similar to poor quality drug prescribed to the patient resulting in poor effect then patient will question doctors diagnosis ) Thats where the drug brands come in though drug may be same other attributes may differ in different brands which alters the cost. For example while giving syrup to children few companies add flavour to medicines which are liked by children hence more likely to be eaten by children and results in better results. Now this adds to the cost. Now I must clarify one thing that while prescribing the drug doctors must take into account the other factors into account. E.g. Social status of patient, habits, specific demands by patients. That means if patient is poor then costly medications, however best quality may be can not be prescribed as poor ppl tend to skip medications by looking at cost which will lower the final results. However for working class executive usually cost is not the issue early and definite effect matters. Its like going to delhi from mumbai. Executive will travel by air as its fast, less hassle and affordable for him while a labourer will travel by rail. Ultimately both will reach delhi but time and luxury are different. Coming to generics. The issue is quality assurance. When you buy generic you may get the drugs cheap but practical experience is the companies preparing generics tend to maximize the profits by substituting the quality. Its akin to buying bata chappal versus some plastic chappal of local brand from road side shop. If you buy bata you can expect quality and bata tends to maintain quality because if someone caches them compromising quality brand reputation will tarnish. So this is self imposed quality control. Can we expect some faceless generic company to be this responsible? So all in all this generic drug funda may be good intentioned but it doesn't stand the practical tests in country like India where corruption is rampant. So you can decide if you want to risk your health or no. Lastly i want to add that as corruption is rampant there may be few doctors who can prescribe patients low quality and costly medicines for the lure of money from pharma companies. But again if govt. mandatorily ensures quality control then this menace can be stemmed. And never trust government narrative which tends to simplify and pin the blame entirely on doctors and absolves them in eyes of simple people. This pits the people against each other and government just watches from afar and have fun. E.g. government doesnt pay salaries properly to bus drivers so they go on strike as last resort then common man suffers and blames drivers while government further villifies drivers and make ppl fight with drivers. This wouldn't have happened in first place if they were paying proper salaries. This is just one example how government tries to make fool of us and make us fight with each other.

Problem is not the Government, atleast Modi Government Promoted and made awareness about Jan Ashudhi Kendra, now it is media people's Job upto an extend to highlight this and make it more successful. As he went to a store and asked for the Medicines and asked multiple questions why they can't go to Doctors directly and ask them why they are not writing generic names. Govt can't do it all alone, even if they pass a law for that there would be too many problems and strike and these media people would cover that in much more large scale than what they are doing now in order to Criticize the govt.

In india the main problem is doctors write medicine and they don't know formulations of most of them, while in foreign Pharmacists precribe medicines, doctors only have to diagnose the disease. Hence government should first change this system and give pharmacist the respect he/she deserves.

In kerala, there has been a systematic and planned campaign against Jan Aushadi outlets by CPI(M) and Congress. Also rumours are spread about the JA outlets and products by private pharmacies. Doctors always prescribe medicine bramds and not generic names ....when we ask - they reluctantly write it out.
Normal people are not allowed to take advantage of Jan Aushadi scheme in Kerala by our corrupt politicians as most medical stores are owned by high ranking CPI(M) and Congis...

Bhai mobile chinese unbranded companies ka milta hai, lava ka bhi milta hai xiaomi ka bhi, one plus ka bhi aur apple ka bhi. Which one do you use? What would you like to opt?
Afterall basic kaam sabhi same kar sakte hai. Jo configuration ke liye apple 70000 rs charge karata hai uske liye xiaomi 15000 lava 10000 aur unbranded chinese company may charge 7000. So all in all what you trust is brand and value for money.
Life saving drugs are like that only. When quality needs to be assured we tend to chose best. I myself am doctor. When me or my relatives are ill i strictly use branded drugs as i am assured by the quality.
The difference between the drugs and mobile is that decision maker in your case for drugs is doctor and not you. Just like if you want to buy your wife a mobile she is less likely to decide for herself and may ask you to chose a mobile for her needs as she is not knowledgeable enough to chose.
So in both above examples a decision maker wil decide the product based on the needs, usage habits, cost effectiveness, absolute need of features AND being answerable to user (imagine the scenario that you bought the cheap mobile for wife and it exploded while charging or stopped functioning on 3rd day. Wife will blame you. Similar to poor quality drug prescribed to the patient resulting in poor effect then patient will question doctors diagnosis ) Thats where the drug brands come in though drug may be same other attributes may differ in different brands which alters the cost. For example while giving syrup to children few companies add flavour to medicines which are liked by children hence more likely to be eaten by children and results in better results. Now this adds to the cost.
Now I must clarify one thing that while prescribing the drug doctors must take into account the other factors into account. E.g. Social status of patient, habits, specific demands by patients. That means if patient is poor then costly medications, however best quality may be can not be prescribed as poor ppl tend to skip medications by looking at cost which will lower the final results. However for working class executive usually cost is not the issue early and definite effect matters. Its like going to delhi from mumbai. Executive will travel by air as its fast, less hassle and affordable for him while a labourer will travel by rail. Ultimately both will reach delhi but time and luxury are different.
Coming to generics. The issue is quality assurance. When you buy generic you may get the drugs cheap but practical experience is the companies preparing generics tend to maximize the profits by substituting the quality. Its akin to buying bata chappal versus some plastic chappal of local brand from road side shop. If you buy bata you can expect quality and bata tends to maintain quality because if someone caches them compromising quality brand reputation will tarnish. So this is self imposed quality control. Can we expect some faceless generic company to be this responsible?
So all in all this generic drug funda may be good intentioned but it doesn't stand the practical tests in country like India where corruption is rampant. So you can decide if you want to risk your health or no.
Lastly i want to add that as corruption is rampant there may be few doctors who can prescribe patients low quality and costly medicines for the lure of money from pharma companies. But again if govt. mandatorily ensures quality control then this menace can be stemmed.
And never trust government narrative which tends to simplify and pin the blame entirely on doctors and absolves them in eyes of simple people. This pits the people against each other and government just watches from afar and have fun.
E.g. government doesnt pay salaries properly to bus drivers so they go on strike as last resort then common man suffers and blames drivers while government further villifies drivers and make ppl fight with drivers. This wouldn't have happened in first place if they were paying proper salaries. This is just one example how government tries to make fool of us and make us fight with each other.

Problem is not the Government, atleast Modi Government Promoted and made awareness about Jan Ashudhi Kendra, now it is media people's Job upto an extend to highlight this and make it more successful. As he went to a store and asked for the Medicines and asked multiple questions why they can't go to Doctors directly and ask them why they are not writing generic names. Govt can't do it all alone, even if they pass a law for that there would be too many problems and strike and these media people would cover that in much more large scale than what they are doing now in order to Criticize the govt.
