I’m extremely disappointed with this rework, which is a shame since this is my main. The fogger lost its style and fantasy, they’re no longer cool technomages, just soldiers with no magic abilities. The drone is annoying and overused, the rocket launcher looks clunky and out of place, and what’s the deal with the turrets no longer having the iconic colors or every single piece of steamer technology ever presented in the universe?! It feels as if someone who had no idea about what a fogger is supposed to be was tasked with this rework, which wouldn’t surprise me since a lot about unity feels made by people who don’t even play the game. I have no hope for a rework of this rework anytime soon, so hopefully they’ll give us the option to hide the spells. What a shame,
@@anade5062 That would fix so much, but I’m absolutely sure that the annoying drone is here to stay. It’s so overused that it will take actual effort to give the steamer some new animations that don’t rely on it, and this is ankama we’re talking about…
i got some ideas to improve this, they dont have to be realistic i guess this is what theyre doing to foggernaut. How to make their skills looks like its coming from somewhere? but it doesnt have to be. Why cant foggernaut summon a giant turbine for turbine spell. Or a floating valve on an opponent that explode? Why cant they use the drone to summon vapour for vapour skill instead of using a rocket launcher like srs how is rocket launcher related to vapour? The turrets literally lost its life, dofus 2.0 turrets like life saver and bathyscaphe has that techno magic effect. I guess the harpooner looks fine? but it still looks like it came from outer space. Tact turret doesnt give that pushing vibe it just looks like a chess piece. They got the trawler right atleast.
the ambush spell is so disappointing, it doesnt feel as powerful as the one in 2.0, ambush spell on 2.0 looks like a shark nuke, but this one is a joke. I was so excited for this i guess i got expectation way too high cuz other class spells looks amazing.
One of the very few class I’m disappointed with in terms of animations. It isn’t bad but I feel like it doesn’t fit steamer’s theme at all. Use a launcher and a drone for majority of animation, this is not steampunk at all, but just modern soldier class. Also why does ambush releases a real shark for real ? Makes no sense to me, and clearly doesn’t feel like steamer’s iconic spell. Especially compared to other class who summon the avatar of their divinity. Would have been the only spell where an actual missile (with a shark painted eventually) or an orbital strike would have been fine to me.
The shark coming out of a Harpooner Ambush on 2.0 was so cool tbh, I wish they kept that. I didn't show the Harpooner's Ambush in this video but it literally makes a 2nd shark coming from the turret fall down, so in total it's 1 shark from the Fogger and 1 from the turret. Might be too much.
foggernauts dont even look like theyre from the deep anymore, they look like space marines.

I was so focused on the animation that appears on the enemy that I didn't even realize the overuse of the drone, you're so right about that!
I hope they remove that drone, the rest of the failures don't matter anymore

For earth spells they could summon submarine parts falling from the sky.
