I have been training gundogs for nearly 30 years, starting firstly with my own dogs and then turning my passion into a successful full-time business some 16 years ago. I have gained numerous field trial awards with various breeds i.e. Retrievers, Spaniels and HPRs. I was also awarded in 2011 the Keith Erlandson Memorial Trophy for Gundog Trainer of the Year. I have also represented my homeland country, Scotland, at the CLA Gamefair Home International Gundog Test.
Whether your interest lies in field trials, working tests, picking-up, working in the shooting field or having a well-behaved gundog, our approach is supportive and constructive to help you build a successful partnership with your dog, and enjoy many years together.
I'm fortunate to train all over the UK with great handlers and dogs and I have even been known to pop over to the USA to train #thelaochinway! I also have clients from Europe who enjoy my methods and attended training.
Based in rural Northumberland, I am fortunate to be surrounded by beautiful countryside and take full advantage off this when training with clients and my own dogs.
I like to practise what I preach and I am currently enjoying field trialling my spaniels.
