You cannot judge Ween from one song. You cannot judge Ween from one album. No other band has created such a diverse catalog of music as ween. Also, not to mention one of the greatest live bands I have ever seen. A tried-and-true religious experience. I emplore anyone reading this to go out and experience more Ween.
I was already a huge fan, when I saw them in 2007. I expected to like the show, but didn't think it would be top 5 I've ever seen. They started with NAN, about the last song I expected, much less starting with that. Right away, I knew this show would be monumental. Favorite song will always be Stallion part 3
I had a friend in HS who had pure Guava, & played push the little daisies, all the time, & I was like, I guess it’s cool; then I started dating a guy who was big into ween & had all their albums. I think it was chocolate & cheese that got me hooked. It was an insane relationship & ween fit that vibe perfectly. I left him after having a baby (with his ween albums-> he was on drugs so I kept them safe), and the mollusk was some of my toddlers fav music. One thing about my ex, besides making beautiful babies, he has always had great taste in music.
My first exposure to this song was at the end of the first Sponge Bob movie (and as, currently, a 56YO man, I can admit to that), and it will always remind me of that.
The reason it was on the Soundtrack. Is it was literally the inspiration for the show to begin with. The writer of the show listened to the album The Mollusk on mushrooms and SpongeBob was born.
@@johnfede7057 Absolutely Stephen Hillenberg was a huge fan of their music as I think they did the shoe loop de loop song in that episode your shoe united but are you sure it was the inspiration for the SpongeBob?!, I’m sure it was because he was a marine biologist and him studying sea animals.
Ween encompasses so many different types of music. It's hard to believe the same band that does " touch my tooter", does " stay forever" or " I don't want it". To get a broad spectrum of what they do - start with Ocean Man, Stallion part3, piss up a rope, El Camino, mollusk, never squeal, freedom of 76, Goin gets tough from get go
Never heard of Ween.... But have heard this song before (in commercial or something). Sponge Bob is the best. Loved hearing the "history" behind the music. 😊 Oh yeah heard the song after the movie... Would not want to run into that creature on the cover - scary. We said at dinner that Ryan says "solid", Nick says "particularly", and Ty says "song". Love the way you guys say those words. Again, i don't have a Southern accent... Ended just like that. Don't want to think of a world w/out Sponge Bob.
Said to Timmy last night, "You didn't stick around for their Premier last night - they did Ocean Man". He said, "oh yeah from Sponge Bob". He already knew the "history". 😏
There was a Honda car commercial that used this song, I caught it once and never saw it again. They were asked to do a song for pizzahut but they didn't like it = Where the cheese at
Love Ween!!! They are hilarious and inventive so you can't take it so serious it's supposed to be fun. More Ween guys!!!! "Piss up a rope" is a great song too 😊
I've never heard this one, but I've heard other stuff they did. They always sound so good. I love their production. Definitely sounds like the vocals are pitch-shifted which they could do live as well if they needed to. I can definitely see how this could inspire SpongeBob.
Must admit, this is definitely different 😬 Don’t not like it, but won’t seek it out. Let me thank you all for introducing me to music I’ve never heard ❤ Keep surprising!! Have a wonderful vacation 🕶️🧢🌴🌊☀️
Ween covers so much musical territory. Most people like the song Mollusk. Start with that, then Freedom of 76, if you're ready for their strange side, go for Stallion part3.
Never heard this song before. Never heard of Ween. I have never even seen one second of a SpongeBob episode. It's 100% a case of judging a book by its cover. I don't know if that was a fair assessment or not.
This song clearly isn't my cup of tea, but I didn't severely hate it. It was bouncy and happy. Not enough bouncy and happy in the world.
open your mind. listen to everything theyve done. I HATED them the first time i heard em, and for a long time....but then i woke up. They are the best ever.

Nevermind didn't know they were gonna mention that, lol.

First time I've seen Ween finally getting a reaction! Thanks!
The Mollusk, in my humble opinion, is easily a top 5 album of all time. Listen to it start to finish and it’s a journey.
Find me the skull of Haile Selassie I. Epic AF.
@@maskedman1337 Have you ever made a flan and squished it in your hand
Oh no, tell me it ain't so
Their best entry-level song is probably "Transdermal Celebration." It's so accessible, I would even called it Foo Fighters-esque.
Monique the Freak would also be a great one.
The album this song is off 'the Mollusk' is an absolute masterpiece.
Definitely one of the best albums of the 90's.
If you're on vacation, play " bananas and blow" by Ween
Oh hell ya! great cartoon and will never forget how awesome this show was for me and my kids.
Absolutely! My sons were raised in the 90’s and SpongeBob is classic! We laughed so hard and still laugh!
Banannas and Blow next.
Love how you guys continue to introduce me to music I probably would have never come across on my own. So fun!!❤🎉

Ween is playing Newport Sept 12
My favorite fucking band
Dean Ween has never not rocked a guitar solo
one of the best stoner tracks of all time 😂
Love Ween!!! They are hilarious and inventive so you can't take it so serious it's supposed to be fun. More Ween guys!!!! "Piss up a rope" is a great song too 😊
Saling any movie they were in like 30 movie it’s a good song more you listen to it gets better it on tv
Fat Lenny Live at Stubbs - Ween
This is my second favorite album from them next to their country album. I recommend Japanese Cowboy or Fluffy.
you guys should check out a couple of live Ween covers. Ween covering "Let's Dance" by David Bowie & "Hot For Teacher" by Van Halen
It's a family friendly album. Wait until you get to track 11!
I’ve been saying drownding my whole life 😐😥
I ❤️ "tear for Eddie "😊

Straight Outta SpongeBob
Ween make Beck look like a one-trick-pony.
spongebob vibes

I have never heard of this band or song. Not my cup of tea but love to see your reactions. Cheers boys.
This song was actually played after the spongebob movie
Who does that theme music for this channel?
Ween kicks a$$

Guys do Oliver Anthony. Cobwebs and Cocaine is sensational
Um. My grandmother told me that if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. Peace. Lol
I think ween does a song called reggaejunkiejew
Ween is a little too out there for me. I like how you cover pretty much every genre on here. ❤
open your mind. listen to everything theyve done. I HATED them the first time i heard em, and for a long time....but then i woke up. They are the best ever.
Try to repeat "moszkvicsslusszkulcs" 3 times! (Hungarian tongue-twister)
You should ditch the 2 guys by your side, they're nontent.
See why this is in animated movies. Sound like this is where it came from. Not really caring for this
Why are you telling them the whole life story of a band they've never even heard before?
Every band/song gets background info on here
What nonsense, I wasted 10 minutes of my life on this
Play " she wanted to leave" from this same album, and you won't feel that way
You've wasted more time than that on nonsense, you're alive aren't ya?
I never heard this song before and I hope I never hear it again other than that it was terrible
You kids always have negative things to say about everything. Have you ever enjoyed things?
Naw it’s an amazing song
