My wife and I just finished our first playthrough of The Dwarves. We had an absolute blast! Unfortunately we met our doom, dying gloriously in battle against the enemy horde, just before completing the final challenge. But we spent a great evening among the dwarves with this immersive game. Looking forward to breaking it out again. Tomorrow we will be victorious! Colin, thanks SO much for recommending this one!
I've always liked dwarves in fantasy books. I've been looking at this since it was German only. I forgot about it with the length of the kickstarter mess. Looks interesting. Thanks. You have a good style for closeups and you do a very good job of explaining things as you go. Thanks for the corrections as well.
This game just went from barely registering on my radar to one I'm in the process of hunting down. My wife and I try to get together with my parents regularly to introduce them to new games. I think this is one they would really get into. While I enjoy Legends of Andor, I think it's a bit too 'puzzly' for them, but this would be perfect. Thanks for featuring it.
It seems like there could be some bad luck that could really ruin the fun at just the wrong time. That being said, it still seems like an interesting game.
At 32:35 are you sure the quest means to not perform the test to see if you found the true diamond and not the one to see if you can actually pick it up?
I am sure I am not sure, ha! But based on my reading, it says to collect 1 diamond, which leads me to believe I can take a single diamond, not do a test for the true diamond. But I could be wrong! Thanks for watching! Since you were excited about this one, what do you think?
I think it's a shame the KS was such a mess. I didn't realize it was so late and the issue with the miniatures is bizarre. As far as the actual game goes though I really liked it. You mentioned Pandemic which is an apt comparison but I like how it puts its own spin on the outbreak mechanism. Do you like the meeples for the enemies? I think I would prefer the cubes from the German version, they seem less fiddly. I'll probably pick it up if it ever hits retail.
Yeah the ks was an absolute mess! Not sure why the minnis are so different either... I personally like the meeples but you are right they fall all overt the place. If you get the base game it actually comes with just cubes. I like the meeples because it makes the game feel more real to me. If you are interested in the game, I will be doing a giveaway soon andI am thinking of including this one! I will keep you posted!
I think the um..."jollier" minis are from the original German version while the others are the characters that were added as part of the KS or something. I'm a bit salty about miniatures at the moment due to the Darkest Night KS.

Dwarves are one of my favorite fantasy creatures! Glad you enjoyed the playthrough and thanks for watching!!

I really like the wooden pieces in this game. All the enemies have a solidness to them you just don't get with cardboard stands.
Agreed! Thanks for watching!!
This one is kinda like Defenders of the realm. Hope you can make a playthrough of it as well. As usual, great job!!!👍👍
Thank you for watching these old playthroughs!!
Nice game, A few bad dice's at the end cost you the game .Oh well we can't always win !
Still fun!
@@OneStopCoopShop yes I love this game

Yes thus is very luck based which is fine, you just need to know that and get more equipment!!
Thanks for the video!

Ohhh i did not back that one, has it been released yet? I want to pick that one up!
So, without the expansion, is this still a fun game?
Yup! Very small changes for the expansion, I just preferred the saga over random adventures!
