I guess it is all in perspective, but I always enjoyed the background music, especially for this show. To me it made these kinds of scenes more intense.
A real man of God would know that asking for forgiveness is for us, not the other person. They may not forgive us, but we've done what we neeeded to do. To forgive is to set a prisoner free, and realize the prisoner was me!
I always found the background music during this era to be intrusive. The scenes didn’t need it.
