For 'smile' , if you see her live in the show, it will be the best because her Dad and Mom were in that performance. And It's such an emotional time for them cause of the lyric so touching.
Soyeon was a whole different beast when she was in 'Survival Show' mode! She literally said it herself recently in an interview: "If past me and current me were to fight, past me would win!" I definitely recommend checking all of her performances on Unpretty Rapstar. Based on your reaction to Smile, I have a feeling you're gonna enjoy them as well.

I do like Jelly a bit more than you. I actually wish that she wrote something like that again. It feels to me very breezy, youthfull and start of summer vibish. Yeah, the woman waiting in the wings during Smile is Nada, her opponent. She is also the same woman on the sofa listening to Minnie and Soyeon. This was her interview programm. They were reminiscing their time in unpretty rapstar. They both developped a strong friendship during Unpretty Rapstar, so despite mnet mnetting like always and trying to build drama (and boy did mnet mnet during Unpretty Rapstar, the contestants, including Soyeon, are still making fun of all the bullshit they tried to pull with their editing) I wouldnt be surprised if she was also touched by the song itself. Soyeon didnt win that one, by the way. It was the semifinal and she ended up third overall. And I didnt expect her to win. She became 18 (international age) during the airing and she was competing mostly against grown women and had a different immage than the typical rapper. The winner was fine, albeit kind of unremarkable most of the time, but it was the one that looked the part the most. To be fair, she did pretty well in the final. Soyeon was a beast tough, the true stand out of the program by far, and everybody was scared of her, but it was a very long shot. These things matter. LIke in Queendom. I never expected Idle to win that either. They were rookies, competing against established veterans, some legends, and a bit too much out of the box. Not that Mamamoo didnt deserve to win, it is bloody Mamamoo after all, and they were great, but there is still a strong hierarchy and expectation in this kind of shows that very rarely gets broken. Unfortunately, the Davi one is the one in spotify. It was part of an Unpretty Rapstar cd release. Minnie was there on one of the lives.

I honestly can't remember if she came up with the group name before this was released or finished. Cube objected as idle made them sound lazy, so the "(g)" and "-" were a compromise. Soyeon also created the official logo.
