This is a really good alternative history.. but I'll blow your mind, look up the kaiserreich documentary by kaiser cat cinema, or what if Japan joined the allies in ww2, trust me you will love it, although this seems to have more personality
jacksonian democracy is literally known for anti-elitism I hate this idea of a 'kinfdom of columbia' it seems like it was only thrown in to keep children watching the video
As a Brit who’s thoroughly interested in American history, this is absolutely amazing! I’d love to know more about what was going on across the pond in the 20th century, but overall definitely a 10/10!
Mawgan Rogerson: As someone mentioned in another post, it would be great if the presenter created an alternate history of Europe as well, since in my view, American history and European history are inextricably connected. This is particularly true of the histories of the US and UK (IMO),
Due to greater territorial losses (especially a larger part of Canada), left-wing movements gain more momentum than in our timeline, and Britain suffers Communist Revolution from the late 1920s- early 1930s.
The United States was allied with Great Britain during both World Wars, Alaska and Hawai'i became states in 1959, and the terrorist attacks in New York started our worldwide "War on Terror." That's virtually all you need to know. 😊
although the alternate 9/11 is cool, theres still some factors to look at: 1: both the empire state building and chrysler building were constructed from concrete in the middle to up, so the likelyness of the towers falling is very low. 2: the reason why the trade center towers were attacked was to weaken the united state's power internationally, which is why the pentagon and possibly another building in D.C were attacked.
@@LegoBrianProductions maybe it was to weaken American moral and make them think "oh if they can do that i don't want to get involved in the Mesopotamian Civil War"? Also in alternate universes those buildings could have been built of other materials.
Just speculation, but maybe that's why only "hundreds of people died" (like possibly 200~300ish maybe?) rather than the 3,000~ people that died in real life; considering that both the Empire State and the Chrysler are made with better materials it only sustains heavy damage and outright just doesn't collapse (which in real life the collapse of the towers is what caused so many deaths on 9/11). Also the reasons why the Empire State and the Chrysler would be attacked could possibly be for not a specific symbolic reason like it was on 9/11, but just for the sake of outright terrorism and trying to strike fear into the American public possibly? but it's most likely imo that the Twin Towers were just never built, so they never become the largest tower in NYC, making the Empire State and Chrysler the next targets.
Not to mention the Empire State Building already had a plane crash into it in the 40s. It sure left a mark to be sure but wasn't nearly enough to seriously damage the whole building.
This has been the most spectacular and genius alternative history I've ever seen, and I cannot commend you enough for creating this. The Second American Civil War, McArthur dictatorship, and WWII had me on the edge of my seat; you should write books just elaborating on this eras for crying out loud. Thank you for showing us this spectacular reimagining of the United States, and please make more!
At first, I was a bit confused on how the United States became a constitutional monarchy. Then, "Lincoln survived an assassination attempt on the 5th of June." was the limit for me. I reread the title and saw that this was an ALTERNATE history video. This video was so detailed that I thought it actually happend IRL. Kudos mate. Kudos...
This is the most interesting and spectacular alt history I've ever seen! Here are some things I wanted to say: 1. That this video made me realize that Canada has a crap-ton of lakes 2. The alternate world events, such as the Cold War with Britain, the Mesopotamian Civil War, and the factions for the World Wars, were very creative. 3. when you zoomed in on the New America uprising, it was extremely detailed, which made me realize how much detail this has. 4. This is just the most realistic video like this ever! It's so sad that this only has 200k views, and 6.7k likes. It deserves way more than that. Overall amazing job! This felt like a movie watching it.
Is it weird to say that I would prefer living in this alternate USA instead of the real one? It's not exactly for the reasons you think. I would love to see how King Andrew Jackson, Macarthur's dictatorship, and both civil wars would be discussed in history classes (and in the broader culture), how territories like Cuba and the Yucatan would have integrated culturally into the US, how Abraham Lincoln's surviving his assassination attempt would have affected the First Reconstruction -- would we be in a better place, race relations-wise? Don't forget that this US doesn't adopt a strict two-party system, which is awesome! I'll say again that I'd take this alternate USA over the real one by a long shot!
I definitely agree. This alternate US history is much more interesting than our current version where it's all just civil unrest that doesn't explode in chaos due to timed incompetency. I could even see Jacksonians and MacArthurians debating the "Better America" ideals on the interweb against Federalists. Removing the idea that Congress is immortal makes alt. USA much more fun to study professionally, and it gives more of a strong focus on Democracy when the nation has had history of what would happen once we lose it.
3 years to make this video! This surpassed my expactions! This is an easy 10/10 and I would like to clarify a couple things to viewers who are confused of the "Jackson I era" or the "MacAruthrian Regime" Jackson I era: this is based on a true fact. Pres. Andrew Jackson used veto power all the time to veto bills he didn't like and his opponents would always call him "King Andrew" for expanding the power of the Exec. Branch and regular use of veto power. MacAruthrian Regime: As you see in this video, Gen. Douglas MacArthur took power after Pres. Garner was assassinated. But he was actually fired by Pres. Harry S. Truman (in real life) in 1950-51 for threatening to nuke North Korea during the Korean War (1950-53). But if MacAruthr actually took power in 1938 in our real timeline, we would have had a American Verison of Mao Zedong (aka Chariman Mao) but the only difference that its not communist.
"But if MacAruthr actually took power in 1938 in our real timeline, we would have had a American Verison of Mao Zedong (aka Chariman Mao) but the only difference that its not communist." In our timeline that happened in 1933 when FDR was elected.
This is awesome. It's so cool to see a similar thread to actual history but with interesting twists! Usually I don't really enjoy alternate histories, but I think this is a big exception
This is really fantastic!!! Thank you for taking the time to piece thus all together! I’m sure it was a daunting task. I really like the flags of the Jackson Monarchy and the MacArthur regime. Did you design those? And if so, how would one go about getting a copy of them just for personal use? I think they are very cool!!
First off, thank you for the positive feedback, I really appreciate it. Second, I made those flags myself in photoshop. I may post the flags on Reddit or something for others to look at, but otherwise I’m not sure at the moment on how you could get a copy of them.
@@LegoBrianProductions Oh that would be very cool if you were to someday share those on the internet. They are very, very cool! I wish I had the ability to do things such as that! I’ve always been a fan of vexillology and years back designed a few flags on construction paper, so that shows you that I’m pretty out of touch with photoshop and things like that!
Thank you for sharing this! It's an excellent piece of work, and is the best alternate history of the United States I've ever seen or read. In order to create an alternate history, a presenter needs to have a strong grasp of the actual history itself; in this regard, your knowledge of history is demonstrably sound (IMO). Kudos!
Great project! A three-year project like this deserves at least an hour of copy-editing to clean up numerous mis-spellings, awkward syntax, grammar problems, etc. (e.g., Shay's Rebellion vs. Shays's [or Shays'] Rebellion; the first 13 states weren't "admitted to the Union" and didn't "become states" when they ratified the Constitution-they were already states and already part of the Union; etc.) Nice job, very impressive!
Very poggers, very nice alt history! I bet a world map for this universe would be ver interesting, with the former Union of Britain and what sounds like a united Mesopotamia… Very good video! You earned a subscriber, my good sir!
God, I have watched this video so many times and it keeps getting better with every rewatch. I love that you updated the flag each time new states were added, and I love the new names of some states
I love the detail put into this scenario! A few thoughts: -Given the the USNA has expanded significantly in the South, I wonder if Spanish is a recognized minority language, or perhaps even a second official language of the USNA? -Sequoyah gets a thumbs up from me. The native peoples of America deserve a state of their own, at the very least. -I expect the constitution to probably be a lot less sacred in this timeline, due to the constant instability the USNA faced compared to our timeline's USA. Seems to be as a whole less polarized political environment then our USA as well. -Canada in this timeline would be a lot weaker then our timeline, given the fact the 50% of Canada's population lives in lower Ontario. I wonder if it is predominantly French speaking? -Union of Britain? I love that the Butterflies are flapping! I assume the Union is a superpower due to her colonial empire much like our timeline's Britain? -Given Virginia's loyalty to the Union in the First American Civil War, I'd assume that Robert E Lee would be a prominent Unionist general, correct?
Alright to answer your questions, 1. Yes, Spanish is one of the two main languages of the USNA. I'm not sure if it would be a second official one, but there is a high possibility that it could be given the amount of land in Mexico that was taken. 2. That's great! I really felt that, when I made my own alternate timeline of the US, I wanted to make sure that the Native Americans/American Indians had a little more representation when it came to naming places and whatnot, hence why I named or renamed states after certain tribes. 3. Yeah. I mean, while the constitution is still looked towards for a precedent as it is in our own world, in this alternate reality, the strictness of the constitution and its rules are a little less enforced, allowing for more progressive and social change. 4. So, I never really intended on making Canada absolutely weak or, at the very least, about half in size based on people and power. It really is funny when you think you're just making a difference on a map that some people might find very interesting if things had gone differently for a said country, only to realize that, if you haven't payed attention to the other factors of studying the world, ie. Geography and Demographics, you quickly realize that maybe the new borders might have some harsh or life-altering consequences. Also, would Canada be predominately French speaking? Yes, very likely so given that most people would live in modern day Quebec. 5. Yes, the Union of Britain is very similar to the Soviets in our timeline, however, they do retain much of their colonial possessions across the world, minus Australia and India. 6. Yes, if he remained loyal to his state, then yes he would have been a very prominent Union General, and maybe even the head Union General alongside or instead of Grant. I hope this answers your questions. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I hope that you'll like what I come up with next, whenever it gets done, that is.
@@LegoBrianProductions Wait So If The Union Of Britain Exists? Then Does That Mean Canada Is Also Hooked Up To It? And If So Then Will The US Be Invading Canada If A WW3 Between The USNA And UB In This Timeline Ever Broke Out?
@@LegoBrianProductions The war would most likely end earlier with Lee and Stonewall Jackson on the Union’s side, granted they were both kinda overrated but the south would have less options. The war would end a year earlier. Maybe even more. With Lee in the Union. Lincoln might put HIM in charge instead of Winfield Scott to start, and no McClellan either probably. McClellan may have had a better legacy had he been a sideshow general instead of the the main man. Same with Burnside.
This is an absolute masterpiece. More people should see this, it is truly amazing. The fact that you put so much time and effort into this is legendary. Well done.
I really liked this project. I can't belive it too you 3 years to complete! That's amazing!! It was very interesting. Also I appreciate how you appreciate our feedback and comments.
I loved how the second civil war goes and how there's 3 different countries fighting in it along with Canada joining. Also love how you did the map. Very interesting seeing the territory we got and how it was possible this could have happened. You defiantly did your research on this.
Have you heard of Kaiserreich? Has a very very similar occurrence in it's alt history, right down to Huey Long in charge of the American Union State and the socialist american states being in the wisconsin and michigan area.
one of the best alternate histories I've seen! I would rant about what I liked about it but this comment would be super long lol. all in all, keep doing what you're doing, bud. I wanna see you succeed you deserve it.
This video was awesome. I hope there's more like it to come. I would enjoy more continental type videos like an alternate history of the Middle East or alternate history of Europe. I would love to see South American alternate history though
Thank you. I'll take note of your suggestion. I've never really thought about doing a South American alternate history, but I think I could come up with something.
@@LegoBrianProductions yeah me too, i mean this sounds way too interesting for an alternate history video, you should make another video of europe in this alt his.
@@LegoBrianProductions I would absolutely watch an alternate history of France. I am American but I am fascinated by French history. You could make the POD during the French Revolution.
USNA. Not a bad ring to it. 😁 Also Amazing video! You’re amazing and if you decide to make more of this in the future you can count on my support. This is the most detailed alt history of my country I’ve ever seen and it’s awesome! Also love the US armed forces songs at 34:38
Please do alternate history of Canada. For Canada, Canada seize the New England after the war of 1812, seizing Oregon county in 1830~40s, and seizing Alaska in after the Crimean war.
As a history buff myself, this has be one of my favorite videos on all of TH-cam. I love how you used the music to almost animate the story being told. Especially these two moments in particular. Firstly, when the Second civil war happens and that really sad version of the Star Spangled Banner started playing. That song choice really made me feel how devastating that conflict would have been for America if it actually happened. Not only would our unity be destroyed but our freedom as well. When those horns blasted at 28:23, I literally almost shed a tear.😢 Secondly, is when JFK is elected president at 31:37. I’m a little biased since JFK is my favorite president, but the fact that he got elected just as the Battle Hymn of the Republic sped up, I could help but shout from the bottom of my heart, GLORY GLORY HALLELUJAH!!! 🇺🇸 Can’t wait till the next one of these videos.👍
And plus the first civil war! “When Johnny Comes Marching Home” was the PERFECT song to use and I absolutely adored that specific rendition of it, perfectly reflective of how harsh and traumatic the war was for Americans.
Watched the entire thing, great work dude. I liked how it didn't go extravagantly different, like this stuff would be genuinely believable tbh. Again, great work and worth the YEARS of effort
This is incredibly detailed, and you introduced me to great music too, thanks so much for the literal weeks and months this must've taken of research and editing skills to make this.
Me: "Ah yes, another alternate history." LBP: "Yeah, uhm this took 3 years..." Me: "Cool, I hope this wasn't in va- yep this needs to get on a billboard." But seriously this must be one of the most genius alternate histories on this platform. At first, I thought it would be like your typical "Here is an alternate history!" video, but no, this - this right here is one of the gems of the alternate history community, this comment is a thank you to all of those at LBP who took 3 years of time they can't get back on a 30-minute video presenting one of the BEST alternate histories.
One small nitpick, due to the fact that Virginia never seceded Robert E Lee would’ve become The head of the Union army and I feel like the war would’ve one ended earlier, and two Lee would’ve been more involved in politics
For a project that took over three years to make, this is very amazing! I also like how you zoomed in into the wars and how you put the music that was playing. I give this a 10/10
america actually has 60 states due to the admission of sonora and chihuahua, otherwise this is probably one of the best and most interesting alternate histories ive ever seen

Considering the fact that Abraham Lincoln, who was a former wrestler, survived his assassination attempt by John Wilkes Booth, there's a very high probability that the most interesting thing to watch in the theatre that night wasn't the play.
Its good and magnificent. That one of my favorite alternate history of the USA. BUT... There's some mistakes in the alternate history. Still good 10/10 :)
Well done! I caught myself reading every update on the screen! I’d love a European version that takes place in the same alternate world. I was curious what was going on with Britain, France and Germany in WW2 since there was no mention of Hitler! Seemed like France went fascist and UK went communist? Also, love the alternate state names. It added character! It’s easy to make alternate history seem to “out there” but you did a great job of keeping it realistic by tying in real presidents and such throughout. 10/10
Although i understand the inaccuracy of Canada surviving without toronto, to be fair it is Alternative history so it could survive because this timeline is different Anyways this is the best alternative history video ive ever seen and you deserve praise for this. Great job!
Loved the video! Even thought this is the alt history of the United States, I'd love to know more about what happened around the world in this timeline, and especially in Europe!
This is definitely the best American alternate History video I have ever seen and one of the greatest alternate History videos, and I don't mean it like one of those comments "THIS IS THE GREATEST VIDEO EVER!!!!!!" (without meaning it), this is one of the best I've ever seen. So much effort was put in this and I also appreciate the Presidential elections and the alternate Parties. Though I have one critique, if he was in this timeline like he was in real life, William Jennings Bryan was anti-US Imperialism and so he would have likely freed Cuba and Philippines after a victory in the Spanish war as well as left Hawaii alone. Other than that though, this is a brilliant and high effort video that deserves more attention. Great job.
I am 2 years late but I will still make this, every difference between this timeline and ours (spoilers I guess): 8:24 The Dispute between Georgia and West Florida escalates to a war 9:17 Because John Adams is less popular Alexander Hamilton runs 11:46 Because the US took Florida earlier Alabama never existed and the state of King formed instead 10:04 George Clinton beats out James Madison despite his old age this means Elbridge leads the US into the War of 1812 and the Federalists are stronger 11:18 The US wins the War of 1812, the federalists are stronger so the US doesn't take much 11:27 The Federalists win the 1816 election 11:59 Because Canada is weaker Oregon is divided between the US and Russia 12:25 James Monroe is still elected just not unanimously 15:37 Without Canada the US gets all of Oregon 13:33 Andrew Jackson becomes king 14:05 It lasts 4 years before he is poisoned 15:05 The Whig party splits but because Jackson is remembered terribly Harrison still wins 15:14 Harrison doesn't die letting him be president until 1848 16:32 The US gets some more land in the Mexican-American war 17:03 William King wins instead of Franklin Pierce, I guess because the US got more land slavery was stronger 17:16 without Pierce, Breckinridge wins instead of Buchanan 18:03 The confederacy is smaller as only the Southern Democratic states leave 19:26 Lincoln survived his assassination 20:34 Samuel Tildon wins in 1876 meaning Reconstruction ends easier and Garfield doesn't become president 21:09 Tildon gets assassinated instead 21:53 Harrison gets two terms 22:11 He oversees a worker's revolt 22:29 William Bryan becomes president instead of Mckinley 23:33 Teddy Roosevelt was elected in 1904 21:49 The Shoshone people get their own state 23:42 Sequoyah becomes another Native American state 24:07 Teddy Roosevelt was elected in 1912 24:23 However he is assassinated 25:10 With a stronger progressive movement Leonard Wood won in 1920 24:49 During ww1 the US invades Mexico meaning the US is much more involved in North America and less involved in Europe 25:10 This leads to the Democratic Party splitting 25:49 The US has fewer trading partners given that the UK became communist, both led to a stronger socialist and later communist movement 26:33 The Split democratic party combined with Huey long surviving his assassination leads to the American Union Party 26:45 This all comes together in the 1936 Election 26:59 After an assassination attempt FDR goes into hiding leading to John Garner taking over 27:38 With radicalism peaking the Second American Civil War begins 27:48 Garner is assassinated leading to Douglass MacArthur launching a coup 28:15 MacArthur annexes Canada for support 28:52 The NAU defeats the USA and USSA 29:30 MacArthur is overthrown by Congress 30:11 The NAU is dissolved as WW2 ends 31:21 The South now has a stronger identity so the Dixiecrats survive 32:22 The South has a revolt for the same reason 31:35 A weaker Cold War leads to a weaker Nixon so the 1960 election isn't as close 31:56 Kennedy isn't assassinated 33:06 Bobby Kennedy is never shot so he becomes the president 33:27 Bobby decides not to run leading to McGovern becoming the president 33:43 Same thing in 1976 34:26 More 3rd Parties are starting with the Libertarians as the first 1984-1988 35:25 Ross Perot and his reform party are next 1992-2008 37:05 With Ralph Nader spitting the vote John McCain wins in 2008 37:34 The Great Recession still happens leading to less support for the Republicans and the return of the Libertarians 2012-2020 37:58 With Trump and most other radicals running as independents and with Obama running in 2016 he never came to power and Jeb Bush leads the Republicans 38:15 Kamila Harris is elected in 2020 as the first woman president
This is awesome! I will admit, a lot of these major differences, or at least the reasons behind why I changed them, are pretty accurate. I really wanted to make this video as realistic as possible, without going to over the top. Some of the changes(like the monarchy period), are a little far fetched to have actually occurred, but some of the events like those were actually based on some historical facts, such as a political cartoon that was made of Andrew Jackson dressed as a king because he was seen by some as gaining too much power, which made him more like a tyrant than a president. That is what I felt made my video much more interesting, especially to those who know their US history a decent amount. Who knows, maybe someday I’ll have to make a short directors commentary on this video or something.
Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I used primarily Adobe Photoshop to make the map, as well as the individual frames of the video, and I used Adobe Premiere Pro for editing everything together.

Mawgan Rogerson: As someone mentioned in another post, it would be great if the presenter created an alternate history of Europe as well, since in my view, American history and European history are inextricably connected. This is particularly true of the histories of the US and UK (IMO),
Due to greater territorial losses (especially a larger part of Canada), left-wing movements gain more momentum than in our timeline, and Britain suffers Communist Revolution from the late 1920s- early 1930s.

although the alternate 9/11 is cool, theres still some factors to look at:
1: both the empire state building and chrysler building were constructed from concrete in the middle to up, so the likelyness of the towers falling is very low.
2: the reason why the trade center towers were attacked was to weaken the united state's power internationally, which is why the pentagon and possibly another building in D.C were attacked.
True. That is a very good point.
Perhaps those buildings were attacked for different reasons?
@@dancarr820 like kyber crystals
Not to mention the Empire State Building already had a plane crash into it in the 40s. It sure left a mark to be sure but wasn't nearly enough to seriously damage the whole building.

This is the most interesting and spectacular alt history I've ever seen! Here are some things I wanted to say:
1. That this video made me realize that Canada has a crap-ton of lakes
USA much more fun to study professionally, and it gives more of a strong focus on Democracy when the nation has had history of what would happen once we lose it.
not weird, also imo, this alternate US, could've not disbanded the NA union and turn it into something political, eventually merging.

3 years to make this video! This surpassed my expactions! This is an easy 10/10 and I would like to clarify a couple things to viewers who are confused of the "Jackson I era" or the "MacAruthrian Regime"
Jackson I era: this is based on a true fact.
I thought Macarthur was the "American Caesar"
@@literallycuhteeneightyfour thats the nickname... but do not get it twisted, he was an military dictator.

"But if MacAruthr actually took power in 1938 in our real timeline, we would have had a American Verison of Mao Zedong (aka Chariman Mao) but the only difference that its not communist."
In our timeline that happened in 1933 when FDR was elected.

A few thoughts:
-Given the the USNA has expanded significantly in the South, I wonder if Spanish is a recognized minority language, or perhaps even a second official language of the USNA?
Alright to answer your questions,
Then Does That Mean Canada Is Also Hooked Up To It?

i mean IRL United states doesnt have an official language, so its safe to assume this version wouldn't have any either
@@AwesomEthan yeah, that’s true.

As a history buff myself, this has be one of my favorite videos on all of TH-cam. I love how you used the music to almost animate the story being told. Especially these two moments in particular.
Firstly, when the Second civil war happens and that really sad version of the Star Spangled Banner started playing. When those horns blasted at 28:23, I literally almost shed a tear.😢
Secondly, is when JFK is elected president at 31:37. I’m a little biased since JFK is my favorite president, but the fact that he got elected just as the Battle Hymn of the Republic sped up, I could help but shout from the bottom of my heart, GLORY GLORY HALLELUJAH!!! 🇺🇸

The amount of effort you could put together in three years is amazing. Good work!
This video was spectacular and you can see the effort
I don't know why, but this kind of alternate world white beautiful map relax me.... thank you for your hard work! I wish you had fun in this work :)
Might be the greatest mapping video ever made
As a Mapper, I have seen my fair share of alternative history videos. But this one goes beyond all others! It was truly an amazing video!
This is really good! You must do more. or even continue on but in this universe, you created! Epic!
Although i understand the inaccuracy of Canada surviving without toronto, to be fair it is Alternative history so it could survive because this timeline is different
Anyways this is the best alternative history video ive ever seen and you deserve praise for this.
Great job!
I could imagine there is some universe with this alternate United States. Nice video and it’s better than most other alternate us history stuff imo!
As a person who is more into 1984, this is still very detailed. Nice job.
Loved the video! Even thought this is the alt history of the United States, I'd love to know more about what happened around the world in this timeline, and especially in Europe!
I love how the U.S. Virgin Islands is a part of Puerto Rico in This Alternate Timeline! And also Cuba being part of the U.S.
Truly an epic project! It's very detailed, I truly love AltHis that are like this. Good Job!
Great job.
Definitely one of the best alternatives histories I've seen, good work!
Thirteen Colonies: casually annex Iroquois and "Indian Reserve"
Lego-Brian: oh yeah no need to explain this genocide, too inconvenient
Nice job.
I love this sm! It deserves more support!
This would be 10000x better if it was narrated. This video is incredible but a lot of us listen to these in the car or at work.
Ok. I’ll take note of that.
This is the Mona Lisa of alternate history videos, great job!!
I am 2 years late but I will still make this, every difference between this timeline and ours (spoilers I guess):
8:24 The Dispute between Georgia and West Florida escalates to a war
9:17 Because John Adams is less popular Alexander Hamilton runs
11:46 Because the US took Florida earlier Alabama never existed and the state of King formed instead
10:04 George Clinton beats out James Madison despite his old age this means Elbridge leads the US into the War of 1812 and the Federalists are stronger
11:18 The US wins the War of 1812, the federalists are stronger so the US doesn't take much
11:27 The Federalists win the 1816 election
11:59 Because Canada is weaker Oregon is divided between the US and Russia
12:25 James Monroe is still elected just not unanimously
15:37 Without Canada the US gets all of Oregon
13:33 Andrew Jackson becomes king
14:05 It lasts 4 years before he is poisoned
15:05 The Whig party splits but because Jackson is remembered terribly Harrison still wins
15:14 Harrison doesn't die letting him be president until 1848
16:32 The US gets some more land in the Mexican-American war
17:03 William King wins instead of Franklin Pierce, I guess because the US got more land slavery was stronger
17:16 without Pierce, Breckinridge wins instead of Buchanan
18:03 The confederacy is smaller as only the Southern Democratic states leave
19:26 Lincoln survived his assassination
20:34 Samuel Tildon wins in 1876 meaning Reconstruction ends easier and Garfield doesn't become president
21:09 Tildon gets assassinated instead
21:53 Harrison gets two terms
22:11 He oversees a worker's revolt
22:29 William Bryan becomes president instead of Mckinley
23:33 Teddy Roosevelt was elected in 1904
21:49 The Shoshone people get their own state
23:42 Sequoyah becomes another Native American state
24:07 Teddy Roosevelt was elected in 1912
24:23 However he is assassinated
25:10 With a stronger progressive movement Leonard Wood won in 1920
24:49 During ww1 the US invades Mexico meaning the US is much more involved in North America and less involved in Europe
25:10 This leads to the Democratic Party splitting
25:49 The US has fewer trading partners given that the UK became communist, both led to a stronger socialist and later communist movement
26:33 The Split democratic party combined with Huey long surviving his assassination leads to the American Union Party
26:45 This all comes together in the 1936 Election
26:59 After an assassination attempt FDR goes into hiding leading to John Garner taking over
27:38 With radicalism peaking the Second American Civil War begins
27:48 Garner is assassinated leading to Douglass MacArthur launching a coup
28:15 MacArthur annexes Canada for support
28:52 The NAU defeats the USA and USSA
29:30 MacArthur is overthrown by Congress
30:11 The NAU is dissolved as WW2 ends
31:21 The South now has a stronger identity so the Dixiecrats survive
32:22 The South has a revolt for the same reason
31:35 A weaker Cold War leads to a weaker Nixon so the 1960 election isn't as close
31:56 Kennedy isn't assassinated
33:06 Bobby Kennedy is never shot so he becomes the president
33:27 Bobby decides not to run leading to McGovern becoming the president
33:43 Same thing in 1976
34:26 More 3rd Parties are starting with the Libertarians as the first 1984-1988
35:25 Ross Perot and his reform party are next 1992-2008
37:05 With Ralph Nader spitting the vote John McCain wins in 2008
37:34 The Great Recession still happens leading to less support for the Republicans and the return of the Libertarians 2012-2020
37:58 With Trump and most other radicals running as independents and with Obama running in 2016 he never came to power and Jeb Bush leads the Republicans
38:15 Kamila Harris is elected in 2020 as the first woman president
This is soooo good you deserve WAY MORE CREDIT
Can't wait for the "History Teacher" and "Historian" reaction videos to this.
Excellent work on this!
Thank you. And yes, that would be kinda cool.
This is genuinely one of the best alternate histories ive ever seen
Bro i watched this for a year straight and i still love it its so detailed
Thank you! You did great working the last three years!
Amazing! This alternative world is very interesting. What program did you use to make this?
PD: In a parallel universe this is real, lel
Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
I used primarily Adobe Photoshop to make the map, as well as the individual frames of the video, and I used Adobe Premiere Pro for editing everything together.
This is one of the best alt history I ever saw. Great job :o
