my ender 5 plus with a semi custom corexy mod. printing esun pla+ at 200mm/sec, 10k acceleration. I'm just tuning it right now, so the print quality is terrible.
It's not really my concept, the kinematics existed before I started this. To me, the one benefit of the Hybrid CoreXY system when compared to a full CoreXY, is that it's simpler, but still offers the benefit of a lighter gantry that a full CoreXY design has.
That’s pretty cool but 110% not core xy in any way! Core xy has an and b motors not x and y motors. Core xy both motors control x and y movements vs your setup has 1 motor control x and the other controls z
I know it's not a coreXY, the Kinematics are called "Hybrid-CoreXY" in the klipper config: www.klipper3d.org/Config_Reference.html#hybrid-corexy-kinematics It is also sometimes called markforged kinematics.
Pretty cool to see this!! I had a similar setup on my Sovol SV05. Really like the fact that it is a super easy method to get a lighter gantry.
