One of the reasons I love this series is the realistic portrayal of a young person undergoing a severe mental health crisis. The original impulse control issues Powder is shown having even in episode 1 hint at it turning into a full-blown schizophrenia with the scribbles overlaid sparingly, then more frequently, and turning into full-blown hallucinations in Episode 4. The perceived rejection and abandonment by those around her (coupled with her feeling of guilt) exacerbated Powder's poor mental stability (witness her excuse "I was only trying to help!" all the time, with no change in her behavior), and to be honest, Silco didn't help much on that end either ( Sure, give the impulse-control-issues and angry kid heavy firepower and tell her everyone is against her but him and his people, that always ends well! /s).
That was one of the reasons it hit really hard for me I can relate so well with jinx on that mental level. There were times I had to stop and take a moment as it was just to Relatable and hit so hard. Its only the second show/movie iv ever cried at. The first one was Forrest gump.
Jinx also had a trauma of constant REJECTION coming out of people who rejected her, because in their eyes she wasn't good enough.. Which is why I also relate to her a lot! I had an older sister like she did, who was just talking down on me...
I’ve seen so many comparisons of Jinx to Harley Quinn, but the reality is Jinx is so much worse, and that’s what makes her so much better. Her trauma and tragedy is so real and believable, and in the end, she’s so far gone she chooses to kill Powder and become Jinx, and it makes sense. She comes to the dinner with the classic “who do you really want?” trope, only to shatter it and make the choice herself. Vi might have made Jinx, but Powder chose to be her. A story this nuanced not only about mental illness/trauma, but about feminine tropes, relationships between characters and true agency is so rare. It’s honestly a shame so many people will never see it bc it’s associated with League.
The worst part about the ending is that the council had already voted for peace when she fired the canon. Silco's dream could have become a reality right then and there but she unintentionally ruined it. It's exactly like how in the beginning her family would have escaped if she hadn't thrown her grenade in while trying to help.
But we musst not forget, that she is the one, that made the decision of the council even possible in the first place. She never took credit for that from the others, but she has been Silcos mighty weapon that even the Firelights feared. SHE is the one gaining the Hex-Tech and even regaining it from Ekko for example.
She is twisted and the guilt has almost eaten her up but she still somehow she kept on looking for redemption even without realising. Silco was the only one who accepted her, he was a villian but he was a ray for Jinx. He kept his promise in his own evil way that everyone else failed to do.

She’s a monster now, and the song that plays at the end even admits this. I will never stop loving my sister, but if this happened? She’d have to go down and I think Vi understands the same. Part of me wonders if they’ll end up with a Batman and joker Dynamic, with Jinx always escaping but Vi never having the strength to end their little dance
when silco struggles at 1:00 I always used to think he was trying to get vi out of jinx's head for his own motives. he didn't want jinx converting back to powder because jinx was a complete asset to him after being altered genetically following her encounter with ekko. but this video changed that perspective for me. powder is reflective of silco's own past and pain, especially when it comes to having a sibling-like figure betray you. silco recognizes vi as the root cause of jinx's trauma, like vander was to him. so i don't think that this scene, where he's raging against his restraints and furiously calling off vi's attempts at gaining jinx's allegiance, was meant to showcase silco's selfishness; it was to contradict it. it set up his last moments that would inevitably redeem and round off his character, making him another example arcane's impressive ability to generate characters that are so violently human. because silco wasn't trying to regain jinx's attention for his sake-it was for hers.
Incredibly late response but also a big thing I noticed with this scene is as vi brings up each person from Jinx’s past her trauma caused them to manifest as monsters. Jinx begins to shrink down and they get bigger and bigger. Remember when vi told Caitlyn they used to play a game where they’d pretend to be bigger and bigger monsters? Well Silco trying to shoot vi is his way of saving jinx from the monsters vi made jinx see. Then powder killed silco. A monster trying to hurt vi. In the end it’s like vi said. A monster showed up and she didnt save powder. Now a monster is here to harm vi but jinx stops him. Essentially jinx can save vi. But vi can’t save her…
Someone said that the "you're perfect" line was in reference to how she was the chaos in Zhaun. But I think that's not true. It's in reference to her. Not jinx, not powder just her.
I have a question if anyone could answer. When jinx said powder fell down a well, I’d that a reference to how she survived the explosion when she was a kid? She was pretty damn high and almost slipped climbing up. The only way she could survive is hitting water, right?
Falling from great height into water isn't much better than falling onto concrete. The only logical explaination is that hex cristals formed electromagnetic field that saved her like it was with Vi hexgloves. Well was metaphor for subconscious mind. Maybe she has DID.

One of the things that I love most about the show is that they portrayed the morally grey theme so well because there isn’t one big bad in the show in a way every single one of those characters were in the wrong but in the right at the same time!!!
I am so thankful for the person who created this video because I listened to it thinking that “Oh I like this song, I’ll give it another listen” immediately loved it went home and watched the series.
Jinx’s character is so damn tragic. And even though these two characters come from different genres, her character is pretty similar, in contrast, to Anakin/Vader. Especially with the whole, “he didn’t make Jinx…you did.”, and then, “Anakin Skywalker was weak, I destroyed him.”
Whenever I see Powder crying it reminds me of how I used to be as well. with the hitting myself and screaming, it hits so close to home because I did the same. I clawed at my face, hit myself, pinched myself, screamed. It was like there was so much guilt and regret inside such a young child that shouldnt be there. Every mistake I made that dissapointed my parents would result in me doing all of that
This is flawless. So many lines you used scenes I wouldn’t expect. Really makes you feel the song in a way that trashes the aesthetics and guts you. Just an excellent job.

same honestly , i think its because i don't wont to say relate but ik what she went through in all honesty junx has a mental disorder if you picked that up from the show
A character driven to madness by the guilt of accidentally killing most all the family she ever knew trying to help and getting harshly abandoned by those who remain. Compound this by having a villain manipulate you in your messed up state twisting what good there is in you while you suffer, "accepting you" while gently pushing you further and further away from the person everyone once knew you to be. Powder was wicked smart, but she was also horribly scarred by her actions in her youth... Vi fked up big time to as when powder needed her most she abandoned her after ripping her apart verbally... This whole series was masterfully done. The edit was clean too.

I think is a reference for Silco's scene when he says to let Powder die. But who knows
Falling from great height into water isn't much better than falling onto concrete. The only logical explaination is that hex cristals formed electromagnetic field that saved her like it was with Vi hexgloves. Well was metaphor for subconscious mind. Maybe she has DID.
You captured Jinx perfectly, well done!

This shows how much "change" an action from a person can do!

I finished the series yesterday, and BOY DO I HAVE FEEEELINGS. As a 30 year old man, the storyline and the HEART of the voice actors brought me to tears several times. This edit flooded me.

Words are like knives, you never know how deep they can cut and Jinx is the perfect example of this

The story, the visual graphics and the voice actors, all are the cherry on the top.

Jinx. Huh she truly lives up to that name. It's terrifying, sad and ...
BEAUTIFUL.
"I only wanted to help😭😭..."
She always wanted to be just like her big sister and she became a more dangerous person and season 1 was the best thing what ever saw in league of legends waiting for the season 2 so much
Can we just take a moment and respect the things powder/jinx has been through
cartoons bro.
@@MooseMeus thats not it Bro. That Sounds stupid But i feel her sadniss and the fact That shes Broken when i think of her. One of the Beat Charakter backstorys/ problems That i Ever See in a tvseries or movie
No show has ever given me chills besides arcane, the story behind all the characters and how well they are played is amazing, and the art style is great
th-cam.com/video/ImuUBJFH97I/w-d-xo.html
i cant get over how good this is, so so so good
I finally got round to watching Arcane recently and this really hits hard now. I just want to be able to hug her and tell her its all going to be ok.... i'm not crying, you're crying
One of the things that I love most about the show is that they portrayed the morally grey theme so well because there isn’t one big bad in the show in a way every single one of those characters were in the wrong but in the right at the same time!!!
Thanks guys for all the coments, love and support. Love yall ❤
Thank you for making this!!!😍🙏🏻🙏🏻
Bro I watched Arcane, fùcking love that show man, this song speaks volumes and reminds me and my lil brother bro, keep it coming
I can't wait for season 2! This was one of my favorite shows!

I am so thankful for the person who created this video because I listened to it thinking that
“Oh I like this song, I’ll give it another listen” immediately loved it went home and watched the series.
THE TIMING, THE SOUND EFFECTS AND EVERYTHING IS JUST PERFECT 😍🔥🔥🔥

Not gonna lie this gave me chills like wow...

I don't know what Jinx voice actress makes, but she needs a raise. 0:51 - I mean like... so good.
She’s Ella Purnell
This show is by far the best story telling story ever l’ll never watched anything better other than Avatar 2 can’t wait for the next one
I just watched it 4 times in a row im so glad this exists i can probably watch it non stop cause its so nicely done with lyrics and scenes holy shit

This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever watched.
very good edits very well 👏
Thank you so much!!!!
I’m crying, Poor Jinx!

I'm honestly speechless... this is the best Arcane edit I've seen so far. You are sooo talented! I'm going to be obsessing over this video for ever now; you captured the different sides of Jinx so well.
Absolutely stunning, thank you so much for this!
I love the transition from Powder's scream to Jynx's
Best short cut I've ever seen.
Oh my gosh that synchronization was beautiful
this is easily still the best one of these, i've watched it atleast 20 times already
Man...I just wanna give this poor girl a hug...the whole time I'm watching the show, I just want to reach into the screen and tell her it's going to be ok...why do I get so emotionally attached to a character that doesn't exist? Like I can't stand it...I just need to give her a hug 😭😭😭
Jinxs anger and pain is conveyed so WELL. It hits me every time it's displayed.
Tht went perfect with the song
the bit where powder is calling for Vi not to leave her and gasping between crying and saying "I need you!" really got me O_O
This video made me feel every emotion imaginable, all at the same time.
this video is STUNNING
I'm just amazed that there is someone on youtube who is actually capable of mixing audio levels properly. Good job.
I love this series because of the emotional thing going on in the series. Made a lot of people related.

I think Jinx is the character that touched me the most
same honestly , i think its because i don't wont to say relate but ik what she went through in all honesty junx has a mental disorder if you picked that up from the show
The way silco loved jinx is just incredible. Even when she killed him he said she was perfect.
i like how this really focuses on how jinx believes shes a victim
This song suits her perfectly. Well done dude!
This is AMAZING! What a wonderful edition! Combined so much.

Jinx is perfect!
CONGRATS ON 2M!!!!!!!
never watched arcane before but holy shitt this gave me chills
I think it's so amazing how much this song suited Jinx so much 😲💙💜.
This video literally made me watch the whole series and I’m not someone who likes to watch shows. But now I’m crying. At work. 😭😭
Really amazing, perfect synchronization, perfect audio lines, the colors, the contrast,, just pure art
This is the best edit of any show I have ever seen. Great job
This. Is perfection
Jinx is such a well-written character honestly
Best edit of jinx hands down!
The one character I always related to in life, always screwing up but also rising
th-cam.com/video/ImuUBJFH97I/w-d-xo.html
The twist is what makes it worth watching
you made the PERFECT clip, the way you pieced it all together is just *chiefs kiss*
This DESERVES SO MUCH ATTENTION 😭💖💙
I'll have to say it : this edit is beautiful
Hands down the best edit I've ever watched. The clips matched so well with the lyrics and also the pace of the song. Certainly a masterpiece! You deserve all the recognitions :DD
the scream at 28~ 29 made me FEEL the 12+ years of the madness depression brings along and had me a grown man crying like life was ending 10/10 would cry like that again
best arcane amv i've seen so far
Man, you're awesome. Thanks for this video, I really like Jinx and this is one of the best videos about her.
When I saw the scene where she was abandoned I really wanted to give her a hug, and tell he that everything would be ok.
