Thank you very much for sharing with us your admiration to this great artist. In my view, expressing in public the love and respect we have for such talented individuals like Ato Alemayehu while they are still ‘alive & kicking’, and are able to read, hear and see what is being acknowledged about their contribution, is a valuable culture we need to encourage in our society. You have done you bit.
I hope someone from Addis Ababa University, or anyone who has a link with it, will come across this valuable message and makes it possible for your suggestion to be considered seriously. I agree with you that acknowledging Ato Alemayehu’s talent and lifelong contribution to Ethiopian music; and awarding him accordingly seems, long overdue (unless it is on their ‘To-do-List’, or, he has already been offered one). Thank you very much for your well thought-of input.
what a talent! What a treasure ! Is there a way to get tin touch with this wonderful ethiopian who should teach each ous the history of these wonderful melodies. Thanks for sharing this talent.
@Mr160854 As you might have noticed, I am making an effort to get in touch with Ato Alemayehu and I have now asked personal contacts at home to find out about him. I also hope one of the up and coming professional Ethiopian documentary film makers will take interest in producing a well researched and high quality product which can be used for documentary as well as educational purposes, well, before it is too late. Many thanks for your support.
what a tone!
