#Agenda | Former Integrated Bar of the Philippines President Atty. Domingo Egon Cayosa said doctors should not worry about the case of Dr. Benigno "Iggy" Agbayani setting a precedent that could push for malicious complaints against them.
Doctors are calling for the court to revisit the late doctor's case after he was convicted for a civil case filed in 2006.

Dr. Agbayani was not an ordinary MD. He was a well-known and experienced doctor. If this could happen to him. It can happen to other doctors, too. There are so many arguments & contentions. His lawyers should have investigated and put experts as witnesses to testify. Was the type of infection cultured to be determined (MRSA, staph, c-diff)? When the infection felt by the patient? What type of surgery? If it was a knee replacement, an artificial joint would have been put in, the patient’s body may be rejecting the implant.
Bakit kung ordinary doctor lang o iba profession o.k. lang na ganon mangyari ?? May ordinary doctor ba ngayon ??

Lawyers nalang mamahala napaka entitled naman ng attorney na un. Asahan na yan mauubos na mga doctor dito sa pinas ginusto nyo to law makers
Other points of arguments and investigations are the age (super young & older can be a risk factor), weight (overweight, obesity or malnourished can be a contributing factor), co-morbidities, other diagnoses such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, arthritis, allergies, autoimmune diseases can be contributing factors, risk factors for longer recovery, allergic reactions, and infections. Depending on the type of the infection, it could have been acquired after the surgery, discharged to home.

As pinoy healthworkers professional Better to work to other country rather than to serve opportunistic people in pinas. Especially to those some or if not mostly arrogant evil minded lawyers.
It should have not been a criminal case nor should be a jail time because the doctor has license to practice. The doctors, healthcare workers, clinics & hospitals should have consent signed by the patients that any type of surgery has risks such as infection, blood clot or even death.
