I was blown away the first time I watched Jimmy Page and now I cant believe what I just watched!!! I literally CAN NOT BELIEVE what I just saw. I just watched the master himself play this and ur vid was next. I figured...I gotta see this - and it had nothing to do with you. I dont believe I've ever seen ANYONE attempt this incredibly hard song!!! Wow that was amazing!! It was a lil shorter than the live Zep version but you absolutely smoked it. I mean that sincerely. I was fortunate to see Jimmy do this song 4 times live and it is my all time favorite. April, you are truly a master. I have seen at least 10 LZ tribute bands and none of them even attempt this song. You put all of the trib bands to shame and you should be extremely proud. I am now standing and clapping and yelling BRAVO!!! I certainly hope Jimmy sees this and contacts you.
She's not a master! She's clumsy on her notes. Especially on the faster riffs. She's not pronouncing every note cleanly!

Jesus christttt, you did an INCREDIBLE job on this. This is no ordinary feat. I doubt any cover will rival this. Other people may learn the notes and imitate the tone, but you have the feel. You have “it”. I guarantee Jimmy would be impressed with your skill. This is one of the only TH-cam covers of anything that has absolutely blown me away.
*What an amazing performance!!* The late Pentangle guitarist Bert Jansch, who recorded his own version of the original folk song, *Black Waterside,* would have also been amazed. Not sure if the many commenting here actually realize *Jimmy Page did not compose this song.* This song is a traditional English/Irish folk song, there is also a version with lyrics.
Sorry if I'm a pain, but since you brought it up...
This is a combination of two amazing arrangements of a traditional folk song: "Black Waterside" (Bert Jansch) and "She Moves Through the Fair" (Davey Graham'). IMO Page's is the best version, but he should have credited both of those players.

@@rantingsage *So many artists have also recorded "She Moves Through the Fair", I have a version by Elvis Costello with The Brodsky Quartet. Van Morrison also recorded this traditional song with The Chieftains. In fact, there's a long list of both traditional folk musicians and rock musicians who have recorded "She Moves Through The Fair'. YES, it would have been decent had Jimmy Page credited all the musicians whose music he 'borrowed' over the years. Later on, due to various lawsuits. Page was forced to add the correct credits to the Led Zeppelin albums.*
I've listened to Jimmy do this for decades; great job! Not easy.
I had the remarkably fantastic fortune of not only seeing Zeppelin twice, in '73 and '75 in Pittsburgh, but also seeing Page in L.A. in '83 at the Ronnie Lane ARMS benefit show...and, best of all, while on a business trip to England in 1999, through a stars-are aligned series of twists of fate, met Jimmy Page at his then-residence in Windsor and got to chat one-on-one with him for over 30 minutes...to add even more icing to that delicious cake, I later became friends with "Mr. Jimmy" Sakurai (see the movie!), the " Japanese Jimmy Page and guitarist for Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Evening, and in 2018 got the chance to jam "Hey Hey What Can I Do" with his Mr. Jimmy band featuring the late (R.I.P. my Friend) great Frankie Banali (Quiet Riot) on the sticks.

I've been listening to this song since 1986 and this is the best rendition I've ever heard. I used to collect boots on vinyl, vhs, cd, mp3, flac... I don't remember which specific performance this was replicated from, but I recognise it clearly. Amazing! I saw Page with the Outrider tour in 88 I think, and then Page / Plant at Nassau Colleseum in 96, and between songs I screamed WHITE SUMMER and they both turned to look at me! But they didn't play the song, lol. Anyway, you're awesome, please upload more.

How are people not picking up on this? Ohh I know why, cause Jimmy Page's really deep stuff is unknown but to the real Zeppheads. At least that's all I can figure....Either way, again I will say THANK YOU for posting this. This for me is one of the most exciting posts on youtube music I have seen in quite a while.
Amazed. I have never heard anyone come this close. Even Eric Johnson's version is not this true to the spirit and sound!! If I had Jimmy's email address, I would send him this!! This is just.............WOW!! Pretty much speechless. I will be sending to my Zeppelin loving friends.
There is one other, and his name is Mr. Jimmy Sakurai, the guitarist for Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Evening. He's also a good friend, and I've seen him live a few times...check him out!

There's almost no form to each section, and if that wasn't hard enough to keep track of, he finds ways to make the riffs chaotic too.
But yeah... because of all that, this song is goated and is always fun to play.
Also, you've done this track so much justice, really spot on interpretation, and an incredible flow to it.
