I'm happy to have found your unboxing. I first thought I received an open box because of the lack of plastic wrapping. I can see yours was packaged the exact same way. Thanks
So I am almost 12 minutes in and having a laugh. Mine is also a Bday present and I had the exact same issue with the battery cover. I haven't watched long enough yet to see you get yours on. It was driving me nuts but that tab only fits in one way. When I would push down I could feel the rest of the case flexing. I put loops on to see if I was missing something. I finally pushed it down and heard a pop but it lined up fine and no issues.
.... Well done Mate, I was a little disappointed with the screen distortion when the primary top buttons are pressed. I replaced the DMM probes with some old flukes I had about. Also replaced batteries with 2x Samsung 3200mha. It's good fun though, little slow auto ranging and continuity. I do grab it in preferance to the two Flukes, I just like the screen (I'm over LCD & backlights). An isolated scope is a 'big deal' to me. I don't have to worry about plugging the DUT into the isolation transformer, and portability in the field is 'cool for cats' Man.
Hello, thank you for the review. This actually looks like a nice piece of equipment and a good birthday gift. From what i have seen it lives up to its specs in terms of bandwidth. But any chance that you show the inherent noise in the lowest voltage level with and without probes? Is it accurate enough to measure for example a PSU output noise in scope mode, ac coupling and with the 20Mhz bandwidth limitation on?
$300 oscilloscope and 25 minutes of testing the dmm leads? i'd seen the slow auto ranging on other videos but i ordered one anyway. it'd be disappointing to have an auto-ranging meter which is no faster than selecting a range with a center knob, but i'm not as impatient as most of the reviewers--i don't get paid by the hour for diagnosis. :) /guy (73 de kg5gt | wqpz784)

18650 cells get quite hot from the scopemeter components. I secured them against overheating with kapton tape (one-sided).
How active duty cycle ??

How can I connect a 1:20 attunater
OWON HDS2102S vs Tektronix THS720A
Which of these two devices would make sense to buy?
