Haven't even finished the tutorial and I love it already! Great to see you go through everything step by step, I work in Ableton but following this was very straightforward for me to replicate it outside of FL 👍🏻
Also, it's pretty normal for the song to be on tempo and then not be in tempo later on. Just try your best to readjust them by finding where its going off, slicing that piece, and readjusting it. I also had this happening during the making of this.
Yeah, so FL isn't letting me clone my sample for the bass. Help please! Also, where do they stretch the sample to at 3:15, because I don't think they stretch the song back to its full length. It would also be way more helpful if the tutorial wasn't sped up. Also, you never went over the reverb you added to the sample in insert 1.
bro this is genuinely high quality stuff what the plugin that u used on some of the vocal chops that like distort them or whatever? been lookin for smt like that
Some searches from google, youtube, and Reddit are where I got most of my drum samples and fx's. For this video, I used R.F.P. Sample Packs, D3ron EDM Essentials, Cymatics, and Juesswork's Samples.
You don't have to. I did it just for a punchier bass. Alternatively, you can use the fruity parameter EQ 2 to bring out your desired frequencies. You can clone it by right clicking The sample in the channel rack and clicking Clone.
@@p3tt Duplicate the sample by pressing E to select then Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V click on the double arrow on the top left of the sample click "Make Unique As Sample" which is pretty similar to clone
Will you ever make some future funk with less "easy" songs if you know what I mean? Or do you have any advice? Like sunset is a relatively easy starting point but many songs are good but harder to make good edits and require more clipping etc. I get lost easily when taking on projects like that.
Maybe in the future I'll try to look into it. And yeah the harder songs do indeed require more slicing and editing which can be overwhelming from my experience. Honestly, being creative with the samples is what I can say and try to take it easy at first before trying to do anything crazy.
hey i sliced the part of the song i wanted to use as the sample and im having a hard time loading it into the sampler, for some reason it loads the original song even though i erased the rest and only kept what i sliced. it wont let me drag and drop either :(
i can get the first 8 to 16 bars on tempo. but after that it starts to drift. is it normal? i assume that happens on songs recorded when a human plays it. do i have to chop the song every certain number of bars to make it fit?
Yes, it's normal for certain songs to go off-tempo since most of the recordings are played live. Unfortunately, you may have to periodically slice and re-align them even though we set the tempo to be the "same" as the recording using the SliceX plugin (it's included with fl studio). I don't know a way to automate the sample to be perfectly in time. I believe Abelton has something like though.

dont you think its annoying and confusing to have background music playing during a tutorial on how to make music? its distracting, pointless and has no place here.
This is where I learned to make a future funk and to discover things in FL Studio!

Thank you soooo much!!

I've been watching a bunch of future funk tutorials, and I have been having so much trouble syncing the sample's tempo to fl studio. Any tips?
Have you been using the tempo tapper?
You can either tap out the tempo with fl's metronome or, if you can, find the actual tempo of the sample
Corvus ok, I will try to do that. Thanks for all the help you’ve been giving to us aspiring producers btw!
