Whenever I hear the classic Ifukube score, the 'da-da-dun' always sounded like they were chanting Godzilla's name.

Actually all of Ifukubes Godzilla motifs besides the fan fare are meant to be like that. Main Title, Godzillas Fury, and Godzilla vs The Tank Corps all consist of an ascending 3 note pattern that can be sang like Go - Ji - Ra. Look up Godzilla Island Theme that’s a great example of what I’m talking about. 😊

In the booklet of Godzilla Singular Point, Godzilla's Theme is based on the Inuit & Ainu languages, which Akira Ifukube was strongly influenced by Ainu music.
