    Thanks for this lesson. English grammar can be so confusing. I've just realized that some of these determiners can also stand as demonstrative pronouns, possessive and reflexive pronouns.

    Nice one, Grammar Monster. There are a lot of good videos out there but most, sadly, just show how to USE the determiner. You defined it within 30 seconds. Understanding how to USE it is so much when it is clear what a determiner is...as opposed to thinking one knows what it is. Then, you went on to enhance the definitions making things, not clear, by most crystal clear. Thank you for posting. Excellent video.
    I wouldn't mind. But I saw your (first class) webpage. Then I noticed a 'mistake.' You used, 'His' not at a pronoun but
    as a determiner. Naa, I thought. It's a pronoun - but went in search of, 'what is a determiner', which is quite shocking for a native English speaker who never thought about it before! What have I been missing all these years?!
    Liked and subscribed...naturally.

    How ‘no’ can come as a determiner?

    • @Grammar-Monster
      @Grammar-Monster  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a quantifier. It gives the number. Quantifiers are a type of determiner.

    really not helpful but 'no' would be a quantifier because its the same as zero or nought, so not strictly the opposite of 'many'.
