I am of Finnish heritage, and I have a small collection of about a dozen classical Finnish puukko knives that I treasure and love. But I also have several Swedish Mora knives, and I readily admit that they are excellent knives, well made, great steel, retain their exquisitely sharp edge, and a great bargain at that. The plastic sheaths are tacky, but I suppose that keeps the prices down. This company deserves every bit of its success. Mora knives would be a great gift to either give or receive!

Thanks for sharing this blast from the past. I just loved it. Video style really took me back to my childhood. If you put out a few more documentaries out like this, I think viewers will enjoy, I know I will. 130 years wow and still going strong, what an achievement, well done.

Pure passion for work and detail. I wish they recreate the Carl Andersson`s classic line with the false swedge grind and orange handle 215 mm long. Gorgeous model.

      @@MoraknivOfficial That's good .
Well I'm sometimes called "Henrik i Glugga". After my farms name Stora Glugga. But that is not my real name.
My neighbours are "Skat-Arne" and "Charlie på Roten" also sometimes nicknamed after their farms here in eastern Uppland.

This may be a ridiculous question. At minutes 14:10 and 15:18 but I can't doubt two of them that they put something in their mouth which I think they put between gum and teeth. The subtitle on this video shows "need some stimulation" If Morakniv or anyone knows please tell me and thank you very much for your kind.

While I find this film historically valuable by documenting the manufacturing of knives, it has to be the most frustrating film ever. Rather than titling it as a factory tour, it should have been titled as an introduction to the factory workers.
The camera mostly filmed the faces of workers and shots of equipment tops (not the actual job it was doing) . The closed captioning was broken sentences with only partial descriptions.
While the film is significant, it was highly frustrating to watch as it left out the most desirable shots which would be the actual work being done.
Sorry to complain but I have never been so frustrated by a film.

Just bought on the bay, An HTG KJ Eriksson with Sheath (with the renown button hole) Knife in stainless steel. Paid $30, probably too much. But, it had the KJ Eriksson logo on the blade versus the new Morakniv logo (after the merger of kj Eriksson and Frost). It will become a permanent fixture inside my Jackson Kraken 15'7" kayak because of the stainless blade. Since, I don't want to lose my beloved and discontinued Bark River Gameskeeper II, in the Atlantic Ocean/Gulf of Mexico.
