@@thomaspaaruppedersen6781 I feel like that’s the same as not considering an M5 cause it has worse gas mileage than a 540. Real M customers aren’t worried about efficiency.
I'm always wondering about the energy consumption at Autobahn speeds with electric cars. Of course there is range loss, but how much is it? For example if your crusing along at 160 kmh do you lose 10% or 30% of the wltp range estimate?
Its higher for sure! Lets say 20 kwh per 100 km at 130 km/h vs 30 kwh per 100 km at 160 km/h, but...coming from someone who has already made the jump from ice car to now my second EV, it does not make sense to drive so fast anyway. You end up saving a few minutes commuting 200 km, but arrive home stressed due to high speed driving and traffic. Just sit back and enjoy your lovely new car and drive 120-130 km/h and you will be happily surprised at how little time you "loose" in reality ;-) its much funnier anyway to drive on the smaller roads where you put the car in SPORT mode and enjoy your car 🙂
The US market continues to get short-changed when it comes to BMW, safety features, and options. Starting for the 2024/2025 BMW Model Year, particularly X5, X6, X7, and the new 5 and 7 Series, the US market will no longer get fully adaptive LED headlights, which means your LED headlights will no longer turn left or right when you turn the steering. Also, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), ranked the 2024 and 2025 BMW LED headlights as awful because they are not as bright and there is a lot of glare in them, making them terrible. The high beam is practically useless. What is going on with BMW? Has raised the prices by about 35%, but it keeps cutting corners. Can someone shine a light here? Seriously? The lights are safety factors.
BMW i5 eDrive40 Touring or i5 M60 Touring?
Lol good one
Even at the same price, I'd prefer range over power, which is already more than enough. So definitely eDrive 40.

M50 !
I5 40 with all the options, we visit today Dusseldorp in the Haque 👌
iDrive//lack of physical buttons. With Voice command you don't need physical buttons, works perfect!!! The mix of buttons in my iX1 are perfect!
Have you noticed increased noise levels in the touring? This can be another plus for the Limousine especially if you drive often with 180+ kmh
It didn't sound louder, but tough to tell without driving them back to back

Whereas if you find road to get Bugatti up to speed you'll run out of fuel, so what's the difference? If range is your issue buy a Diesel.
Standard matrix headlights also :-)
BMW ❤❤❤
The I5 M 60 Touring
