The production he had with subpar qb play is insane. I think him and Addison will be the best 2 receivers in this class

I didn't really see a lot of underthrows on the tape. Maybe you're referring to some of those jump balls where Maye lobbed it to the best receiver on the team in a 1 on 1 situation. Most of those balls were right on. Flip the tape to the previous year and you'll see more inaccuracy out of Sam Howell there than you saw with Drake Maye here. This is definitely not subpar QB play, but Downs still runs excellent routes and is a great natural hands catcher who can break a short play long if you give him room.

Ehhh Tyler is bigger, faster, and can play more effectively outside. Downs is better in contested catch situations tho.

the issue i have here is that, even if he is one of the fastest and has elite acceleration, almost every time when he catches the ball, he goes down immediately by the first defender. outside of the 2nd punt return which was fantastic, he broke like only 2 tackles for a 10 minutes clip...
Well he’s 5’10 170 pounds… literally all your DBs and return DBs are like 200-220. That size difference is real. One thing he does have tho is that elite speed and heart.

Route running and hands are immaculate. He’s probably the most natural slot receiver in the draft. If that’s what a team is looking for he’s ideal.

i dont know why i keep drafting hijm on best ball fantasy. hes meh, mediocre at best but hes like the number 2 or 3 wr in indi so why not. i hope he does well.
i seriously dont see why this guy is so high on draft boards, He's pretty slow for a small reciever 4.48 at combine and his stats arent that impressive for a ACC, theres a few really good plays in these highlights but again its ACC so overall it doesn't wow me. Maybe im wrong though either way i hope he does good in the NFL i just personally dont see it

Most bowl games are actually meaningless that's why every team (pretty much) gets one. He played in the ACC championship game which is the game that mattered. Him not playing in a meaningless game opens up the spot light for other guys to earn a spot or a role on next years team before all the transfers show up.
College is there to prep you for post-college life. If you are already prepped, why would you take a risk?
Hopefully saints get Downs,TankDell,ZayFlowers,ParkerWashington, or addison one of those
