The actress playing the grandma is incredible. I've never been so moved by a portrayal of a grandmother. Her personality and mannerisms really remind me of my own grandmother and show the maturity of someone who has lived a full life. Wonderful.

She didn’t leave it to her grandson because she knew he had originally came back for ulterior motives and though she had put on a path that crossed with Chenghuan so he could learn about the warmth of family and something by else besides money she couldn’t trust that once he had the hotel he going to continue to protect it like she wanted. But she knows Chenghuan is a strong young woman who would honor her wishes and think about others and not just herself and what she could gain. It’s bad that he was denied majority of the will but I still understand grandma

The grandmother said she knew she didn't have to worry about Zhiming ever needing a job or money. Plus, she probably left the house to Zhiming because she used to live in that house with his granddad.

She's made it 10 years, so she can settle in and sort out her life and love, and also distance the leeches and losers - don't know what scumbag you refer to here as abandoning her though. Clearly grandma loved her grandson but was well aware of the leeches around him, and didn't want them to get their way
