You won't see much greenery in Spiti in any season (maybe in patches). For snow, you could try to plan a trip as soon as Kunzum and Rohtang open (early to late June). This will let you cover the whole circuit. Otherwise you can go till Kaza and come back even during the winters.
We left Kaza at morning 5 AM, and we crossed only the first water crossing which comes prior to Chatroo, it was already 4 PM, and we knew what awaits us, so we took a tent at Chatroo, and crossed rest of the crossings next day morning. Nice video graphy and commentary. Good job!
Chandrabhaga is called Chenab in JK and beyond. In this video we are travelling along Chandra river from Batal. There is another video on where we travel along Chandrabhaga/Chenab - Death Road 🙂 Do watch it. 👍
Exceptional it was... fabulous work... mesmerizing moments for lifetime.. incredible beauty of nature ...scenic... breathtaking waterfall views and depth of potholes 😜ride was like roller coaster ride...thrilling adventure! Accomplished with joyful experience! Hats-off to your art work and in-depth knowledge. Keep it up, excellent work!
+Abhijitkumar Bhattacharya Thank you! You don't need any special permissions for covering this circuit via Shimla. You do need a permit to cross Rohtang if starting from Manali. If you take a cab, he will arrange it himself. Might ask for the fee from you though. Hope it helps! 👍
No problem at all for the most part. Just be careful between Batal and Gramphoo. Start as early as possible from Kaza to cross the streams before they swell up with water. ATB 👍
One of the best series of video for Spiti. I have relived those Spiti moment after watching these videos. Can you mention which time of the year you had this road trip?
Can be difficult. If you want to attempt it, try to do it in a group of at least 2 cars, just so you have some support in case the car gets stuck anywhere.
Yes, of course! You will have to carry fuel from Reckong Peo/Tapri if you want to take diversions towards Gue, Mudh/Sagnam, Dhankar along the way. 10-15L should suffice assuming a FE of 15 km/l. 👍
There are plenty actually! 🙂 And more coming up in every Spiti village. You can search on the popular travel portals, you can easily find options that suit you.
This is one of the best vlog I have seen on TH-cam for Spiti .... Very very informative and useful... Planning a trip to the same circuit this June ... 5-13th June... It will very helpful if you make one more video describing the do's and don'ts and your itenery...
Thank you 🙏 Glad to hear you found it useful! You can drop a note anywhere (FB/IG/Tw) with any queries you have. As for tips or my detailed itinerary, (good idea btw 👍) I will post something along the lines on website or FB.
You can try it in August, after monsoons are over. Even though locals do the Gramphoo Batal stretch in 800, Alto too, I would still advise you to go and come back via Shimla avoiding that stretch. ATB 👍
Best time is may to october followed by rains bit risky in july specially paangi naalla stretch to nako.... yes amaze can go easily.. I travelled with my wagonor 2009 model wid 4 batchmate onboard.. but condition varies your vehicles must be in good condition.. Cheers ...🤗🤗

Bhai march me jana kaisa rahega roads open to rahte he ya nahi. And accommodation me koi dikkat to nahi aati.
Usually Kunzum doesn't open in March. So you have to travel via Shimla both ways and be cautious about snowfall.
Really satisfying videos! The beauty of the Himalayas are unparalleled but require a commitment adventure to explore! Please keep posting
