Located in the heart of the Ethiopian capital, Sheraton Addis, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Addis Ababa sits on a hilltop overlooking the city, safely nestled between the National Palace and the prime minister’s residence. This 5-star hotel in Ethiopia offers stunning views, acres of open space and a location just 20 minutes from Bole International Airport. Mixing African refinement with modern accents, the unique design of Sheraton Addis stands as the epitome of gracious living. A wonderful place to stay.
Biggest park in Ethiopia?? You may say city park, but there are plenty of other parks all over Ethiopia. FYI Tourists come to visit culture, tradition, history, nature , and definitely not city parks.
Yo Dave Mani I'm super happy that I saw your video about Addis Ababa.I'm from Dire Dawa, Ethiopia but I currently live in Calgary, Alberta.I thought you're American but when you mention the price of the hotel in Canadian money, I said to myself He is a Canadian! Enjoy your time in Addis Ababa, if you get extra time go to Dire Dawa and Harar.I liked and subscribed the channel.
The introduction to your videos is very professional. It is not only there that they do not want professional cameras, even here, thank goodness phone cameras are getting better. The beautiful details in the Ethiopian buildings... Wow! The names of the wines👌👌👌👌10:10 Wow! The gym is wonderful and the song 💃💃💃Ethiopia is very beautiful.
I can't wait to get to Ethiopia, I would like to see more of the town and people though. Curry and Naan bread anytime of the day. The food do look very good

@@DaveManiGreat to hear that! You should be the biggest fan of Kenyan tea to balance it out with Tracey 😅 Mark you, Ethiopian coffee is enjoyed in two stages hence being tedious. First for the smell, one draws in the aroma during the roasting ceremony then the bitter taste after brewing. That's why it's served in those mini cups. With Kenyan coffee, whether instant or filtered, both the aroma and taste comes at one go! The taste is alkaline mild with strong aroma. That's why global coffee houses prefer Kenyan coffee alongside the Colombian one. As for the tea, Kenyan one is the best of them all followed by Sri Lankan one. Rich black, strong smell and tangible lingering taste.. Kenyan tea is used to blend other teas from Asia and Africa.

Actually you can use local music wherever you traveled can create more connections on your video's. Thanks for presenting us your travel experience.

So does Nairobi, Washington and London but they don't have those policies... My problem is the no camera but use your phone as much as you want rule... Makes no sense to me.
I'm traveling to Ethiopia, so I'm really enjoying your video series! Do you know why the hotel won't allow you to use your camera? Are you having problems vlogging in the city? I watched another video and he was getting yelled at for using his camera even though he was only filming himself talking.
You will be fine. Some people don't like being on video including me. But if you are going, don't go out of the city. The government itself will kidnap you. We have an unstable prime minister. He is turning Ethiopia into the next North Korea.
@@KerrySomewhere Bahir Dar and Lalibela should be fine. Tigray is not stable yet. Tyrant Abiy has totally decimated it. Pretty much all part of Oromia is not safe at all. If you have enough time, Africa is best discovered spontaneously without tour guiding. Just ensure you have travel documents in order, travel insurance and enough money then hit the road. Tour guides tend to box travellers into those "tourist traps" which usually don't portray Africa in its full glory.

I don't remember exactly but it was fairly expensive. Check here, we listed everything including the Hyatt which is much better. www.davemani.com/ethiopia

Ethiopians don't like to be filled because of the bad image presented to the world caused by the drought in 1980s. After the drought a lot of people have been coming to Ethiopia as a tourist and filmed the poor or the destitute in order for them to collect donations from wealthy countries just for self financial gain.

You're not wrong about the amenities apart from the pool which is much larger than most luxury hotel and the running track which we had never seen before. The food we ate at the restaurant was also above average for a 5 star hotel. Again, our main complain was the rooms which are very old looking and not that big for the price.

To be honest we've visited those 2 hotels plus the best western and the Hyatt and the Hyatt is the winner for best hotel in Addis. 🇪🇹
The number 1 hotel in Ethiopia 🇪🇹 is skylight hotel not Sheraton
Not really. Sheraton has a nice compound but in terms of hotel Hyatt Regency is way better than both Sheraton and Skylight.
maybe skylight and hyatt might have a modern rooms but none of them are as expansive and classic as sheraton.
But the new skylight 2 is very good too.
According to google reviews, Sheraton was a point higher than skylight

There are no such things are called security threats in Ethiopia. They reasoned for their convenience.
No, some hotels like this one prohibit recording cuz some people like celebrities complain for privacy 0:30
False
Sheraton Addis is "best", let's say it's the Dubai of Addis i. Hilton is actually the best, let'e say like the Paris of Addis.
