not a great video but it works. the launch with the 4a hurts it cause it spins way more in first gear. but overall it's definitely an improvement. next video on this car will be for the new wheels and tires.

I think the 4A is a great improvement over the stock engine. The horsepower gain might be marginal for the work, but it's definitely worth the time and money, in my opinion !

No problem thanks for all the help. And I agree especially if your in need of a new engine or yours needs rebuild its worth the extra couple hundred bucks to track down a 4a and rebuild it vs the 3a. It cost the exact same to rebuild the 4A vs the 3A id know haha I've done both 😆

Interesting comparison. 👍 Did you use 3a distributor or 4a distributor? They are pretty same but may have different weights in them.

It's the 3a distributor. And from looking at them inside they are identical. But I never use checked the part number. I have a 4a distributor I just used my 3a one cause I had a new caps and rotor on it already. Imma look now to see if they are different

Great! 👍 The advance weight system is hidden under distributor rotor. The advance weights affect most on bigger rpm due to centrifugal force.

@msalmi8383 I have noticed the 4a runs out of steam past 4500 cause I later did a pull shifting at 4300 and had to grab 4th and it was actually faster than running it out to 5300 so maybe that's the issue. Ehh I'm no expert haha. Thanks for pointing it out I have the 4a distributor I'll swap it in tonight and see how it runs

Then it could be indeed that distributor. But that is just a guess. I am not a pro either. I use a 4a distributor on my 4a engine and it pulls fine.

Idk lol it's hard to beat how slow these things are. Swapping the 4a in makes it feel quick but lets be honest it's still slow 🤣🤣
