PS: Seeing them live at the Congress Theater in Chicago (Summer of 2009) was one of the best concerts I've been to. Beautiful stunning work. As always.

This was the last song that Explosions in the Sky played at a concert I went to a couple months ago. On the drive home, my friend died in a car accident. This was his favorite band, and this song will always make me think of him and the great time we had that night. RIP Peter.

Whenever I hear this song... I think of our high school soccer team... In the locker room right before the biggest game of the season... Pushing and punching against the lockers screaming and shedding tears of hype. And running out on the field screaming and throwing our hands in the air... And then bleeding our hearts out on the field... My god this song gives me the chills every time...

My favorite was toward the end when your showing the incredible looking clouds and the musicians are practically breaking their instruments with pure expression.

My favourite part of the video is when there was a person in my life that showed me this video, and I heard the song, "The only moment we were alone". It's such a very special video and song for me, it reminds me those days when I was a little more young and I had dreams with this guy... This song will be always a very special thing to me. I don't really know if I have to say thank you to you, or destiny, or this guy who really moved my entire world.

listening to this makes me remember things that make me sad...and at the same time it urges me to let them go...even if I want to cling to them...even if this sadness is all I know...even if I made myself believe that it's all I'm supposed to know...and maybe I just have to listen to this long enough to know that it's not true...that everyone deserves better than the pain they cannot let go...i can't say which part is best because they are nothing without the others...great job, man...way to go!

There is a girl that I really really like a lot that I just met. She is always busy doing things, so she doesn't really have time for a guy like me. But this past Sunday we met up so I could help her with her piano homework for college. We ended up talking for a good 2-3 hours. For the longest I remember, the song is called "The Only Moment We Were Alone" others go by "The Only Moment We Wore alone" so it's whatever really - I prefer for you to go by the first one. But most definitely, I agree with you, they're amazing!! They should be on iTunes, under the album "Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place" - good stuff!

Hell yes! I live in VT, and I dream all year about taking a drive on beautiful back roads listening to EITS or Sigur Ros and enjoying the foliage. Nothing is more relaxing (for me).

It's by far one o the most "organic" home videos ever attached to a song on youtube...it transports the emotion so perfectly...as if the landscape adapted to the song...and sometimes riding along with somebody, saying nothing is somewhat the only moment you're alone with them....and the most perfect moment, too...
Saw Explosions play this track live in London last night and I cried my heart out. That's what this music does. Reminds me of something both the terrifying and the incredible - love.

I'm from the CA central valley too, dairy country.... I can't tell you how many times I've been driving on the backroads and dreamed of how amazing it would be to make a video of the countryside flying by with this kind of music in the background. Something about those fields and orchards and lonely houses is so haunting and beautiful. Thanks so much for this video, I can't wait to go home again.
