I just got the same exhaust and I have it attached but it only fits WITHOUT the graphite gasket that came with the new exhaust. Was this the case with yours? I have a 2020 GSXR1000r. Any advice would be great. Thx!
Hello, how are you? My exhaust came with the graphite gasket and I had no problems installing using the gray gasket, my motorcycle is also gsxr1000r year 2020
RR_CRIS Hi! Thanks for replying!! Hmm when i fit the graphite gasket in the akro exhaust then slip it on over the stock pipe it does fit on the stock pipe but only goes as far as the gasket-type piece that appears molded to the pipe about 2 inches in, therefore not allowing the screw/bolt hole to align where it connects to the frame just below the passenger seat. If I don’t use the graphite gasket then the akro actually fits nicely over the piece of pipe that has the gasket-type molding on it (about 2 inches from the end of the pipe) therefore aligning the bolt that’s attaches to the frame near the seat. I’m sorry if this is any at all confusing. I’m just 45 miles from the nearest repair shop and I’d hate to bring her in and I don’t wanna compromise this beauty. Thanks again for replying!
