I guess google knows everything about me 😂 ,I just finished a splunk power user course and was notified about this upcoming video, looking forward for her insights.
Love her openness. Just rounded up my Splunk/Linux classes last month. It's just amazing that I could understand her and the topics around splunk that she mentioned. Especially when she started talking about data onboarding, syslog, API, and forwarder. I was literally smiling. Kudos to my tutor.😊
@muyiwa7832 Hello, Not in Nigeria. I took all my classes with Techforward LLC from Maryland in the USA. Frontend, backend, Linux commands, SPL, SPL optimisation, dashboards, reports, and many, many, many more. Even had a project at the end. I live in Europe, btw.
A NOC role (with the right organization) is an underrated path for transitioning to a SOC and SRE role. Infrastructure monitoring is vital for any NOC and deep-diving into various log sources and their use cases for potential observability is a great skill to have in this market. Splunk really allows quality insight to complex enterprise IT infrastructure & applications, which is a field agnostic skill that can be used anywhere in tech from systems to development.
Love the video. I vouch for course careers, I actually was the first to complete the I.T program. Glad to see this course getting the shine it deserves
I want you both to come down here to visit me in Medellin COLOMBIA and help develop the ID TECH camp for the AFRO COLOMBIAN. You both are super inspiring. If not that then just take a workation.
Peace, the video found me. I am in a similar boat you were in. At this time in taking a IT course. However, knowing what I know now. I want to position myself for PCI DSS Cloud Security in GovTech. I’m currently doing fundamental labs in Azure for the last few weeks helped come to this conclusion. Any advice would be appreciated.

Currently going in the process of getting a Cybersecurity certification and started thinking of what route i want to take. I heard good things about specializing on Splunk so this video is extremely helpful. Where do you suggest going to for Splunk training?
I stumbled across you page today watched a few videos and I honestly have one question ….. I’ve been in oil and gas for over 15 years my body hurts I have no time for my kids and I want a career change. I’ve started googles cybersecurity certification just as a starting point ( I know it takes more then that ) I am willing to take several steps to get to where I need to be … my question is what steps do I need to take. Yes, you can, I did it at 52. Took a few Splunk courses with projects and made a resume that has recruiters always sending job opportunities. Got a Jr. Observability Engineer position with just Splunk. Total time was 6 months without "real experience". It can be done but you have to work at it.
I learned so much last couple of weeks this podcast though put it over the moon for me. Seeing Brodus tell his story and Chloe tells hers is truly special. I thank you for the questions for SOC Analyst I have been studying them. I'm in a Bootcamp to break into Cyber and its pretty intensive for 6 months but your podcasts and shorts give me that edge. So thank you!

In reference to the “compensation adjustment evaluation “ …. Would you ask HR directly for this or the manager over you?
