I know what you mean, I can't ship Meanie/Minwon even tho they now have released Bittersweet... It just doesn't feel like the purity of Soongyu/Gyusoon to me, the heart eyes they have for each other it's amazing to me, it feels like love.
Even when they're fighting, either on Don't Lie episodes or that SeventeenTV moment that they fought bc of their antics and you can still spot a jealous Soonyoung on this moment hihihi, Soongyu just feels right.
But let's not look down on other ships, Mingyu and Wonwoo are best friends just like Wonwoo and Hoshi, and Hoshi and Woozi are, and the other members as well, Seventeen is the best family.

I have a lot of arguments to ship Soongyu, but one of my favourites is "We are specially special" because I can say I love their skinship or the heart eyes, the little gestures and them fighting like baby tiger and puppy (indeed Soongyu created a new dynamic here) or other particularities of their relationship but people will still say "but this ship has skinship too" "that ship has backhugs too" (even if feel like Soongyu's loving stares and longing touches are different and special from a friends or brothers relationship).
But about the others soonyoung and mingyu ships, the members always say: "he's my bestfriend", "he's like a brother" or things like that, in Soongyu we have the "specially special" and other members saying "they are like a couple" (and Hoshi confirming) so I don't feel like I'm doubting anyone 🤭🤭
