This man Eric destroyed garry and charlies careers. Eric did not write one song. He eventually spat out scars but it was dreadfully Amateurish. Simon Shapiro is awful too. Garry Frost, charlie cole and too a certain degree Alex Smith ( GREEDY SMITHS BRO ). I saw them 15 years ago and because Eric wont pay royalties to garry ( official song writer, band master) who penned beautiful music , if i could, thats when i think of you , compulsory hero, you'll never know, tell me a story. What about me etc. He collaborated with Charlie Cole and both their genuine brilliance on the piano rang through. 1927 has no more ties to these exceptional geniuses. So Eric and Shapiro barstadized all their hits by changing key melodies and harmonies. It was an absolute disgrace to what they did to garry and charlies hit songs. It was such a shit night. My wife was 30 at the time and she was by far the youngest in the crowd. You could see people everywhere with such disappointment on their faces See , Eric would never of made it if not for garry . He never showed appreciation and he thought he was the band leader and he was an amateur muso. Eric, give it up. You are old and ugly and your best days are well and truly over. Simon, you arent good either. You ride erics tail and its the blind leading the blind. The grossest thing was watching Eric hit on audience members and i clearly heard him invite a strange girl that was queued up in front. He is so skinny , gaunt and ugly. He doest ooze that appeal he had when he first came on board. To his credit, he is a lovely singer but he cant compose any songs with substance. I hope you read this Garry & Charlie. You are my idols on the piano. I copy charlie and his style of playing and its so much fun. I hate 1927 after the other side had its moment in the spotlight. And you hear that charlie is back. ( he wasnt on board for ish, but he got recruited back. Eric hated being 3rd or 4th and pushed control onto garry and charlie and when the 3rd album was released it was absolute shit. Scars is such a bad song i wouldnt be surprised if a 4 year old kid wrote it. Moving pictures was one of AUSTRALIAS hardest working pub bands at the time. Its a shame that publishing company went broke and didnt recieve a cent for their last mainstream song Never. And if Alex pulled his head in and wasnt so cocky and egotistic. It was inevitable that garry wouldnt put up with the drugs alex was doing and they parted ways. I dont have facts and maybe i shouldnt say it but Charlies skin looks like hes on heroin or methadone from recent pictures so that may of affected the band as well. But this thread went wayward and i got off track. It was too sensitive because i wished they were still going. i bet inxs would be doing it still if micheal didnt accidently choke himself while dangling with a tie around his neck in the cupboard after his massive climax. I want Garry and Charlie to know they were unreal musicians that id give a pinky from my left hand lol. I still play the piano. I have heaps of originals songs ive written over the years and id love to start a band with them.oh and you 2 would be in charge lol. pipe dreams
