  • DJI RoboMaster S1 Kit: amzn.to/2LLetPT
WARNING: This is a looooong video. I wanted to share the process I went through to assemble the DJI RoboMaster S1. It's a really straightforward build and I'm looking forward to testing the programming capabilities of the robot. It can be programmed in Scratch and Python. Stay tuned for upcoming videos that talk about programming.

I wish it had a way to dock in a charger like a Roomba and be able to control it from out of the home network for a guard tour camera.

That would be cool. I wish DJI aircraft and Robomaster had a way to power them on through code. Aside from charging another challenge is being able to power them up without physical interaction.

hows the lag in the video? If i get one, i think i may have to place a runcam + tbs vtx on that bad boy.

Very little lag but I've only driven it in the garage while directly connected via Wifi. There is a router mode that will allow connection to an access point, but that still gives very little range. I'll share more details after experimenting. I like your runcam idea!

What? You need to build it yourself?

If you like building things that would be a lot of the fun. I don't see how they can justify the $700 price though, looks like it should cost maybe $100 at the most.

@@stevec5000 Even robot vacuum machines cost more than $400 these days...
