What are Clinical Trials?

Do you know what a clinical trial is? A clinical trial is a research study that is conducted using patient volunteers to find safe and effective treatments for a variety of health conditions. They are critical to the advancement of medicine and improving patient health.
Clinical trials may sound experimental, but they are not guesswork. They are safe therapies based on a high-quality science, years of laboratory work and investigation, and experience gleaned from other patients.
A clinical trial essentially brings tomorrow’s therapies to today. Participating in these studies offers people the opportunity to try new and effective treatments that could potentially improve their condition while taking part in vital research that can benefit many future patients.
