    Dewey, I absolutely agree the OM1 MK2 has brought the enjoyment back into my photography at an acceptable price point with fantastic image quality. Another enjoyable video by the way👍

    I just picked up an OM1 MKII and gave my wife the EM1 MKIII. I haven’t used it enough yet. Compared to the EM1 MKIII, so far, I like the built in graduated ND and the expanded ND filter range (two things I was able to test). I also like the new menu which I think is better once I get the old menu out of my head. There is so much customization that my first day with the camera was all about assigning buttons and programming the custom modes. Hopefully I can get some more shots this weekend.

      I really like the built in filters as well. They are simple to use and they give you many more options in your photography. Enjoy your new camera.

    The OM-1 mkii is great. I use it for photowalks, whether in my neighborhood, in the country or in the city. I tend to use the 12-40 f/2.8, the 17mm f/1.2 or the 40-150mm f/4 with it. Separately, the 14-150mm lens is a great overall travel lens, and it's weather-sealed. May be a good with the OM1 mkii or the OM-5.

    I bout the OM-1 for the pre burst feature for bird photography. But all the added computational stuff is just icing on the cake. Focus staking live composite actual usable handheld high res mode nd filters. Some of this Stuff that not even the big 3 6k flagships don’t have.

      I agree with you. The OM-1 MKII has some great features. The Big 3 need to take note and look at upping their game.

    Hello from Greece, good job my friend with a nice video from the american countryside, but as you mentioned grainy stills and noise is part of the game with that camera, so here's an advice towards your upcoming trip to Italy and Greece. There are tourists that settle with a good photocentric smartphone, which is quite adequate to them, but most of them carry an expensive ff gear in order to get the most oustanding stills and videos from the breathtaking sights of both these countries. Would you really risk to take back noisy and dark pictures to recall your once in a life time travel, i'm not so sure, and that to me sums up the problem with the certain camera

      @Deweybing  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kast1727 You make a good point. The OM-1 Mark II has what it takes to get great travel images. The noise is minimal and is easily fixed in post. I have used my OM-5 on several recent trips and it has performed fantastically. The OM-1 is even better. Check out some of my recent travel videos to see the results. I recently picked up a used Leica Q and I am considering taking it with me on my upcoming trip.

      I don't know what you are comparing the OM-1 to, but I completely dispute your allegation that "grainy stills and noise is part of the game with that camera". Do you have an OM-1, or have you shot one extensively? My guess is not, as I bought my first on at introduction almost three years ago, now have a second one, and in my experience it produces clean, clear, and sharp images at any reasonable ISO setting, and when pushed to ridiculous levels the noise is constant and uniform enough that tools like DxO PureRAW have an easy time of producing immaculate images.

      @ When I talk about noise I’m Comparing against full frame. There is a little more noise in Micro 4/3rds But it isn’t terrible. I find that I need to use noise reduction more than I used too. I still get great images. I started using Micro 4/3rds back in 2014. I started with the EM5 and the EM1. I was a fan back then and I’m a fan now. Thanks for your comment.

      @@Deweybing I'm not sure how this happened, but my fist message was meant for @kast1727 and his very critical comments about noise with the OM-1. I fully agree with your reply to him. I have shot ISO 20000 images with my OM-1 Mk I and DxO PureRAW 4 makes it look like ISO 200 quite literally.

    • @nixl3518

      Disagree with your comment!!! There are no grainy stills to contend with when I shoot with OM-1 MI & MII. Perhaps you're trying to push your FF settings on this camera. It can do the job better without that kind of imposition. Even low light images are top notch and the image stabilization is so good you don't even think about it anymore!

    It's just a great camera, Dewey! Why do you speak with an*all the time!? "It's a great camera, but…" And then, when you go and talk about the buts, there really aren't any because of the workarounds! You can actually make the same criticism of full frame cameras when you compare him with larger formats! You sound like you're trying to be enthusiastic and yet it comes out as a rant! Sorry. It would've helped if you showed us some bison!!! 😎
