I spent my career in the Quartermaster Corp. Running warehouses and such. Can anyone tell me what the guy on the left is pulling off the rounds before the guy hands it to the loader? Looks like a white bag or something. Didn't notice the first time I saw this.
Too bad for the guy whose job it is to stick his head right into that nasty smoke to check the barrel. And they all just hang around breathing in that and it's coating their faces and hands and they probably ingest some of those particulates later. Hope you're not riddled with cancer in a few years!

Powder charge. The more powder the further the round travels; less powder equates to less distance.
