    This is a great album. A solid rock n' roll album. I've been listening to Manson since the Antichrist Superstar days. He is too old for the shock rock stuff, so this is a good direction for him. Also love his lyrics. Manson is a great writer.

  • @Ermahnerd
    @Ermahnerd 7 ปีที่แล้ว +36

    In my opinion, this is his best album yet. I believe it has a lot to do with his semi-sobriety. He went a little off the deep end during the Twins of Evil tour (I am so thankful he was 100% on when he performed when I saw him during that tour.) But I saw him twice during the first tours for this album and they were by far the best performances of his I have ever seen. Even more recently there have been some poor performances of his, most likely due to being a little too drunk or high. I just hope he can find the balance that works for him and that he can produce another masterpiece like this. I want him to be around for a lot longer because he is by far my favorite musician.

      nah, not even close... he said it a few years back, "everything has been said before, there's nothing left to say anymore". have you watched any of his old stuff or listened to it? POAAF, ACSS.. even Mechanical Animals are way above this in terms of quality, lyrical content, and soul. no, just no... this is sad. washed up, played out, nothing left to give but monotony.

    If this album was released in the 90's it would be characterized one of the best albums of that era (or of all times).

      Noun
      majick (uncountable)
      Eye dialect spelling of magic..
      1988 November 4, Bill Wyman, “Do You Believe in Magic?”, in Chicago Reader:Burger, though, is a discarder rather than a collector; what items there are have a personal or aesthetic appeal: a few bits of stone that look like a miniature segment of Stonehenge; a pack of Max Maven playing cards, named after a famous "mentalist," a good friend of Burger's; a couple of trick devices, including one shaped like a skull; and a few lavishly weird "bizarre majick" books, these the work of Tony Andruzzi, a local magician.

    I was in high school when Marilyn Manson had begun his career. I was not gothic, but guilty by association. At that point in time of my life I found all music horrific and could not phantom a time I would ever willingly listen to any; however, having teenagers now I have learned to be more open-minded. My children each have their own preferences but as a hopes to further my relationships with my sons we took turns each day listening to each other's music. My boys wanted to listen to music I listen to when I was a teen and I could think of none but Marilyn Manson. Today I have learned to appreciate music and thanks to this album have finally found music. My sons now understand the way I hated music and are happy to have helped me face what did not kill me but left scars.

      It's funny...When I was married my husband never observed me actively listening to music, nor did he ever ask me about it. He knew I cast it from my life and respected my choice by only listening to his tapes while I was absent. Our infant died days after her birth (she was born the day Micheal Jackson committed suicide). For the first time in years I blast David Bowie and cleaned house continuously without stopping to eat or even sleep for days once arriving home from the hospital. He watched me intensely the whole time, but never interrupted me. To this day if I play music he asks me if I am 'Okay' or 'What was wrong.' This may not seem humorous, but I have learned to enjoy music now that I have teen boys, but my ex-husband still worries. I find humor in that.
