Glyne Martin This is crazy! Literally yesterday I found out about Snarky Puppy. Been listening to the We Like it Here album like crazy, then I found out there were videos on TH-cam. Such an awesome band! Groovy like hell, and just perfect musically! Shofukan, What About Me and Lingus are the songs that I'm obsessing about at the moment :)

i was on a consert with mezzoforte in norway in 2010 and that guy on saxophone played maybe for 30 seconds for one song and stood there with that smile for the rest of the consert. one thing is for sertan, that guy enjoys his job :P
I felt alive listening to them. Maaan there are awesomeee. Truly a band passionate about music and the beauty part about them is they are not caught up with there notes. Respeeect.
What kind of jazz this is? Funky swing, maybe? Why can't we have more jazz like this instead of that intelectual, going nowhere kind of thing? Strong melodies, solos, groove, everything is strong here!
What is it that gives you the right to call what you don't like crap? I don't like most of pop and don't say it sucks either. And the same, there is nothing better or worse. This is just your subjective opinion... But I have to say, just like you, I love this. 3:20 killed me lol.
they are not rich, they are not as famous as jackson, but look how they have fun and are happy. This is passion.

I love seeing the band play with such joy. They're smiling, feeling the music, just generally having fun on stage. Such good performers.

I call it flux Jazz and I like it.....
Most jazz is pretty fun as long as you dont try the avant garde stuff right away. This here is jazz fusion/smooth jazz which is why it's so funky.
Maybe the only BAND in the World that can be very successfull without VOCALS.... or ..
..........in other words to play only INSTRUMENTAL tunes.
there is many, many fantastic pure instrumental bands in the world of jazz, funk and library music
