Great tutorial! Your daughter would make anything look good; she’s so cute, and she’s lucky to have a mommy that can sew beautiful clothes to match how adorable she is!
I'm so very grateful for you (and other TH-cam uploaders) that do these videos! So easy quick and clear, and one less pattern to buy! Thank you so much!
Thank you...you explain it very very plainly and make it easy to follow 😀 👍. A lot of videos show a great job but do not explain it where everyone can understand.
Okay I finally got some time to make this and it turned out amazing! I haven’t sewn in like 15 years and this was such a fun and incredibly well made tutorial. Thank you again, I plan to use this tutorial over and over again 😀
Hello Marlene! Do you mean a serger? Like for the raw edges? If so, don't worry about that. In some cases when the fabric frays then it's necessary, but there are stitches (and presser foots) on your machine you can use for a clean finish. I've done that many times as I do not have a serger myself. So, don't worry about that overlock and go for it! 🙂
Wonderful tutorial! Thank you very much for sharing. I am going to sew some Christmas pyjama tops and this is exactly what I was looking for as a beginner. 👍❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nice PJ's and great tutorial! This technique can be used for other things as well. I had a blouse style I really liked, and fit well So I carefully traced each part and made a pattern.
Thank you! Have alot of stretch fabric given by my sister (to make pyjamas for her kids) and stumbled upon your video! Pandemic project coming up! Thanks again!
Amazing tutorial! I am making a lion costume for my toddler for Halloween and this is the BEST relevant sewing tutorial that I have watched. Thank you so much, very helpful!!!!!👍👍👍👍
Thank you for the tutorial. It is absolutely beautiful and well explained. If I may add a criticism it would be the music in the background. It made it quite distracting with the music. You don’t need any music or anything in the background as your videos are beautiful as they are.thank you for sharing your talent.
You're so welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial. I have definitely thought about removing music from the background, but I've learned to lower it down much more so it's not distracting. I will still consider trying it without music and see how it goes. I appreciate the suggestion. Thanks so much for watching! 😊
Hello Ayla!! You're so welcome! Any curved ruler should work. The one used was all I had at the moment, but I currently use a standard curved ruler for my projects. 🙂
This tutorial is just what I was looking for! I am struggling with the neckline. I have tried twice and it ends up all stretched out. Could this be my machine somehow? Any advice? Thanks so much!
Hello Amanda! I would suggest after first attaching the bias and then folding over to spray a little starch and press. That should help stabilize it a bit more along with the pins. Hopefully that can help. 😊
Great video! Definitely the most helpful I’ve come across so far! I do have one question, in the video you used the seam ripper to poke through for the top of the front waist band, but I can’t make out after you cut the two pieces for the pants... is one piece shorter for the front waist band? I didn’t see a shorter line on the pattern so I’m just wondering how you achieved it, because it’s evident in the finished product that the front waist band definitely dips lower than the back. Does that make sense?
Hello Emily! Thank you! And yes, I used a pj set that my daughter already had that fit. I just used a cotton knit fabric (not too much stretch). An easy way to get idea of what material to get is by looking at the tag inside the garment to see what kind of material was used for that particular garment. Hope that helps! 😊
Do you have to use a zig zag stitch for the material to have more give since it has a stretch to it? Or can I run the seams through a serger and still end up with the same results?
Hello Tisa! If I can remember the whole project including the pattern making I'd say a couple hours. And yes! You can save the patterns and keep them to make more. I always do!
For some reason my machine isn’t constantly zig zagging on this material. If I switch it out for a thicker material it looks perfect. Any tips. Tension 3 width 5 length 1.5
Hello Michelle! You can try shortening the width and tightening up the tension. I know different fabrics may require different mechanics. I can't tell you specifically as I'm still learning myself, but I would also suggest to look up some videos on TH-cam concerning the issue you're having that may explain more in detail . Hope that helps. 🙂
Hello Ugochukwu! You can use a cotton knit/Jersey cotton knit with not too much stretch. You can also use a lightweight fleece if you want. Really just depends on the feel you're going for. Hope that helps. 😊
This was the most thoughtful and thorough video I have seen on making pajamas! I must get that curved ruler! Thank you!
My thoughts exactly! I don't know how I've gone so long without one. It makes projects like this so much easier!
for sure! very easy to follow.
Love this review, very easy to follow. even without the sound! Which is a testament to how great of an instructor you are! Thank you
Thank goodness, a video that's not too rushed but not too dragged out. THANK YOU!
That patter on the fabric is perfect!! Thank you for the tutorial!
Beautiful video, love the closed ups and you explain everything so well. I am definitely going to make this pajamas.
Thank you so much. I couldn’t find a video that doesn’t use a serger! Your voice is also calming. ❤

Hi! Thanks for this video. I think I've watched every pj video on TH-cam by now and yours is by far my favourite!
You made that look so easy. Always been too nervous to sew with knits without an overlocker!

Thank you for being so thorough! The curved ruler, can a std curved ruler work or should one only use a small one for toddlers?
Hello Ayla!! You're so welcome! Any curved ruler should work. The one used was all I had at the moment, but I currently use a standard curved ruler for my projects. 🙂

Omg you make this look so easy pezzy I wish I could do that
Great tutorial, can u pls specify the type of cotton fabric use used?
Hello there! Thanks! I used a light weight cotton knit. 😊
👍
Great tutorial! Did you use a pj set that already fit and find similar material as the pjs? Thanks 🙏
Hello Brianna! Yes you can use a serger. 😊
How long did it take you to make from start to finish? Can your cut-out be used again.. new to sewing

Does it matter which direction your fabric is cut when it is a knit?
Hello Nanette! If your knit has stretch in it you should always make sure the side with the most stretch is laid horizontally when cutting. 🙂
Please what kind of fabric should be used for pajamas
Hello Ugochukwu! You can use a cotton knit/Jersey cotton knit with not too much stretch. You can also use a lightweight fleece if you want. Really just depends on the feel you're going for. Hope that helps. 😊
@@ForeSeeLove thanks
How many yard total did you need?
Hello Erica! I had about 1 yard of fabric, but for this size (2t-3t) I used about 1/3 of the yard of fabric all together. 😊
Can you describe how you actually cut the fabric for the pants? I noticed the fabric is cut a little lower in the front waistband)
Great job!
