KTM 250 Duke Features:
The KTM Duke 250 packs a fully digital instrument cluster, which shows details like realtime and average mileage, gear position, apart from the regular trove of information. Like the KTM 390 Duke, the Duke 250 now gets an LED headlamp. The indicators and the tail lamp are LED as well. Like its bigger brother, this motorcycle features a similar design language, complete with a wide handlebar and a slightly rear-set footpeg position for an upright yet sporty stance.
KTM 250 Duke Engine:
The quarter-litre Duke is powered by a 248.8cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC engine. It generates 30PS at 9000rpm and 24Nm at 7500rpm. There has been no change in the power and torque outputs compared to the BS4-compliant bike. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission with assist and slipper clutch. The assist function reduces the clutch lever effort whereas the slipper clutch ensures the rear wheel does not lock up during hard downshifts.
KTM 250 Duke Suspension & Brakes:
The Duke 250 is built on a split steel trellis frame suspended on a 43mm WP open cartridge inverted front fork and a WP monoshock. Braking duties are handled by a 320mm front disc with radial caliper and a 230mm disc at the rear. For optimum safety, the bike gets a dual-channel ABS with SuperMoto mode that deactivates the ABS for the rear wheel alone. The motorcycle rolls on 17-inch cast alloy wheels wrapped with MRF RevZ rubber on both ends, measuring 110-section front and 150-section at the rear.
