I loved this layout and the random rubbish was excellent, as a parent I loved having teenagers because of the challenge, that spark and interaction. lets' do this again
We read Charlotte’s Web in my UK primary school in the 70’s, I’m surprised it’s not a regular thing now? Bawled my eyes out at that and the film as an adult.
I laughed with tears down my face when you described the pony express as "cowboy mail". The Mayor of the capital city in Penna decided to put the Wild West Museum in his city, Harrisburg. Sadly he was buying the artifacts with money from the city, got arrested, and paid it all back before he died. Bet no one thinks of a Mid-Atlantic state as the wild West. Anyway, thanks for the fun stories!
Hello from Tommorowland! I had a history reality check when I was about 19. I'm a girl from the south, with generations of family in middle GA, where I saw the results of Sherman's march, and then visited a museum in upstate New York that had a letter home from a "hero" in Sherman's army. I'd never looked at history from the other side before.
And when Shimelle talked of don't import Americans for actors with correct accents for Hamilton, I thought immediately of very British Vivienne Leigh pulling off Scarlett O'Hara from your southern area of Georgia!
watching from later on :) Natty Gann brought back memories. I loved that movie, and I read The Four Winds (several years ago) and Boys in the Boat (current). The 20s-30s in the US west were not something I was exposed to much and it's been interesting to see the resiliency of some vs those who gave up. I love reading and teaching reading for elementary-age kids - was my specialty when I taught. Such a fun convo listen in on and sad i missed it live. I loved A Wrinkle in Time in grade 3-4.

Hello from Tomorrowland AGAIN x

My day off from teaching and I’m learning more about teaching than any professional development I’ve had this year.

I was sorry not to be in the Live chat today. I teach adult education, but so much of what you all said is still true

Shimelle! You have spooky scary skeletons on your shirt! I need one immediately. 💀
We still have IEP.
I teach Kindergarten and there is a lot of "seriously again."
