    Great idea! When you took it to the pads for the "real world" application I got chills! haha seriously. I love how a tabletop rhythm can turn into something cool and a million different combinations of cool on a pad. Thanks for the vid. It got me excited to put this process in motion.

      Yes I did. I learned how to play multiple instruments so I figured I could learn how to build a wordpress site. And I was right :-) I could already do html and css by the way just from many years ago. But this one Udemy course taught me how to turn that into a Wordpress theme. Very well explained. Still took me many months but it wasn't as hard as learning to play jazz guitar!

  • @vuyani6729
    @vuyani6729 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey great video. Just a question about your technique. Is there a reason why you play with straight fingers?. When I play, I feel like I get better contact with a crooked finger.

    • @TheQuestforGroove
      @TheQuestforGroove  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh thats just for tapping without a pad controller. On a table you can also tap with fingers bent but on tour legs for example there would be no sound. With flat hands there's also still a sound on softer surfaces. But that's the only reason.

I appreciate your content and I was wondering if you please do a review on the Alesis VI25 MIDI-Controller, please and possibly compare it to other MIDI controllers with drum pads and which would be best for keys and drums. Have a great day, God bless you.

      I'll put it on the list. Cannot guarantee it because with those piano / pad hybrids there seem to be so many of them that i wouldn't know where to start or stop. But this one seems affordable and nice so... maybe!

    hey man, thank you for these videos! I was wondering if you could do a remake of the sound of the drums, how epic it sounds in the song called Dream - Shawn Mendes. Could you please show what kind of sampling plugin could get close to that ?

    • @TheQuestforGroove
      @TheQuestforGroove  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I listened to it and you can make yhis sound for sure in Addictive Drums. My guess is Fairfax 1, Fairfax 2 and Blue Oyster kits will get you there. Most important thing here is to turn up the room mics. You also need some heavy saturation on there so it starts to crunch.
