    Though I've not rung here I've always liked the clunky old-fashioned sound of recordings of them. They don't seem to sound much different, which I suppose is a good thing as they've retained their character. Would be nice to hear that tenor on its own!

    Shocked by how similar it sounds to York Minster

      Yeah... I agree the front 8 or so bells do sound a little bit like the front 8 at York Minster. Just the back 4 are far more boomy and characterful here than at York in my opinion!

      They sound more like Exeter cathedral I would say.

    huge improvement with the re tuning and also the new tenor makes a massive difference. The old one was a bit of a tin pot

    The tenor sounds a bit different than when you took me here. Have they put the new clapper in?

      I think the refurbished version is a bit better.
