Also intimidating.the only magazine submission I ever did was about 19 years ago to popular photography and it got published and I got paid and that was it...and what I just described is absolutely nothing compared to the incredible effort you are telling us about.

Hey! Your video was very helpful :,) I just discovered that I can publish my poetry in magazines and I really wanna publish my work. But I’m quite young, I’m only 17 and a senior with not yet any accomplishments in writing whatsoever, will that work to my disadvantage? Most poems I saw published were of English majors and already established writers, ngl it kinda made me insecure to send my work. I have many poems I wrote already that I can put together a solid collection from. I’d also love to send you my collection once I’m done for you to critique! I sadly don’t have writer friends in my circle at all so I could really use an outside opinion so I don’t drown in self doubt. Thanks a lot and please try to get back to me soon :)
That's the strangest makeup I've seen in a while. Congratulations! You probably don't need it. I would definitely NOT submit anything I wrote yesterday. I certainly wouldn't do 40 at a time. I'd also not be doing a lot of simultaneous submissions. If you saw my cover letters (I lie a lot and the whole thing is absurd; two of them got published along with I submitted), you would be surprised and probably appalled. You get to enjoy rejection after a while. I'm sorta on the other side of that curve so it's time to up the challenge.
