It can be tempting but improving takes time and progress! Pick a note speed that feels comfortable for you. People may say you should do a really fast speed, but really, you pick a note speed that's comfortable. The average note speed I would recommend for new players is speeds 8-10. And get to know the songs! It really helps to know the main rhythms of the songs so then when you play the song again, you'll know what to do and when to tap the notes perfectly. I personally listen to project sekai songs on Spotify, but you do what works for you the best! I wouldn't worry about your team talent yet until the future. But I hope later on you enjoy the game as much as I do!
